they are reviewing tomorrows papers on the bbc news channel and on the back of the mirror the wigan chairman whelan is calling FSG clueless.

whelan is either very crafty in the sense that he`s deliberately trying to turn the whole thing into such a media circus and such a farce that FSG pull the plug on the deal or he is losing the plot.

I guess he just wants the whole thing over with so he can focus on the next season.

Dave Whelan is doing what he can to safe guard Wigan's future. He knows what a valuable manager Martinez is to Wigan and wants to ensure he doesn't have to find a replacement this week or next week.

You can't fault the man for trying to safe guard his football club.

Ive said before I think he is playing a very clever ploy using to media to try and keep his manager.
Though obviously that doesnt necessary discounted   him from also being a fornicating rectum gap

You backed Kenny my *****, you were no more a fan of his management than I was, now for some weird reason you are thumping the good book of loyalty. You are coming across as a bit of t1t sir.

The difference between you and me is simple. You wanted Kenny sacked and I did not, just like two years ago you wanted Rafa sacked and replaced with Kenny. I find it ironic that you brand me a t*t. I never once called for Kenny's dismissal from the club, my major gripe with Kenny was his constant insistence that things would just slot into place, he was too slow at ringing any changes and just stuck with a rigid plan and ultimately it was a plan that worked in cup matches, but just didn't work in the league, hence the regression last season. However I wanted him to have another season to really put things right, come up with a new plan, an improved plan and I wanted him to succeed as much as anyone at the club.

I just think its more important to have our own identity ,and a manager that will have an affinity with the fans ....I can see the Kop adopting Martinez
as one of our own ,because the man has the same football philosophies  we as fans hold dear  .  Martinez also strikes me as man with great humility ,another
trait which used to personify Liverpool managers .

Hell , if its not working out mate ,we can just sit back and leave it to the less patient amongst us ...and fuck me if we don't have a rapidly growing
contingent of them.

True. Martinez has a character that I like. I really do think if we hire him, he will be brilliant for this club. Should we hire him, this could be the biggest step forward we have taken in years simply because its a gamble, but one we really should be looking to put all our chips on.

Woah, forum hadn't worked for a few days for me so I stopped checking in on it.  I'll catch up on things later, but I would advise people to be patient about our search for a manager, I have a good feeling that no matter who it is they will be backed in the transfer market very strongly this summer.

We need guys like Hazard around but without CL football there is no way we can attract players with his kind of calibre. Liverpool right now can only boast about their rich history and as the 2nd most successful club in British football in terms of number of  league champions.

Hope whoever is manager next season will be able to do an Alan Pardew at Liverpool and be on the verge of finishing 4th next season. There are still good players out there who are not as good as Messi who can still be attracted to come to Liverpool. Let's hope this next guy whoever he will be can play his cards right.

going by some tweets our owners have now spoken to 3 managers about taking the liverpool job.
we only know of Martinez due to Dave Whelan.

I just wonder if ...or that be hope, that they have met 3 managers and are picking the best one and not just begging any of them to take the job......if they ARE begging then even i might ask for Rafa back lol it better to have a manager that dreams of the job than a manager that just takes it as our owners called him 100 time.

Going by twitter the only manager we haven't met is ORN.

The people on twitter have less clue than the people in the media
