Some really good stuff going forward. Elliot and Thiago have been excellent in midfield. Great ball from Ward-Prowse but if I was to be really critical our defence should have done better. Just keep it up in the second half.

Good win. Had to work hard at times but overall value for the 3 points.

With any luck Manure and Chelsea drop points now.

Unfortunately, we now also need Newcastle to start dropping points as well. They beat Chelsea but they themselves are 8 points above us.

Honestly, OK they've spent some money, but looking at their team they have absolutely no right to be where they are right now. I mean, feking Joelinton and Almiron are their main players! I don't even know where they spent all those money, their team is pretty much the same one that was battling relegation at the start of last season.

They (Newcastle) have only lost once all season which was at our place and apparently they have the best defensive record in the division too.
As you say dj although they are absolutely minted and have more money than anyone they haven’t really bought any stellar names yet so fair dues to Howe, he’s clearly doing a good job there.

Apparently there’s a 6 week gap until our next prem game because the players are going to have a break after the WC. That’s a fair old break, those 2 week international breaks feel like an age so god knows what this is going to be like.

A Good win, three points, an excellent outcome, the outstanding players were Thiago, Elliot, and Nunez thanks for his two goals.

Good Luck Lads

Yeah Newcastle are going well and imo its down to Howe. As you say the same players who were battling the drop. Howe has managed to unite them and get them punching well above their weight and I think he is very much like Klopp in that aspect. Funny enough I always thought Almiron was an OK player and if he played under Klopp would be at a higher level.

Howe I think has shown himself to be a very good manager with excellent man management skills. It will also be interesting now that they have the means to aquire top players and how he gets on with that level of ego within the squad.

Ronaldo has given an interview to piers Morgan saying that Manure want him out and are treating him badly. It's to be aired next week. Egos like that within a squad won't be long taking down a manager like Howe. Potter I think is going to start feeling the pressure soon enough as well.

And for sure that the owners of Newcastle will want the top players.

Anyway, going to be slow going for the next six weeks  I really never really get into WC football except to follow Liverpool players.
