Maybe games like today will convince the club to invest in a centre half and a left back now. We certainly over played the long ball to Carroll who needs to stay on his feet a bit more as well. Henderson, Downing and Adam I felt all looked promising despite the score line. No one likes to see their club lose so even a friendly defeat is a slight dissapoinment.

In the first half yes. 2nd half was better but you can see clearly that the new signings need some time to adjust/get used to each other.
