Glen Johnson? That's harsh, because up until the point where he misstimed that jump, he was playing very well and made no mistakes whatsoever. Posted: Thu Apr 29, 2010 11:05 pmi think aquilani had the best game he's ever had in a red shirt tonight. he was playing with confidence, and he was involved in a lot of build up play. he was great as the link, the player who starts the transition from defense to attack, in the same way xabi was. we're more fluid and balanced when he's on.

I was screaming for Gerrard to be put up front (a la Pique last night) for the second half of extra time, (even my missus said "is Gerrard in defence?".
If Dirk puts that chance away in the first half, that would've went down as one of the all-time great Anfield goals.

The second half cost us....... we took our foot off the pedal and let them back in the game thinking we could score on the break...... we couldn't. Maybe we would have conceeded a goal in normal time if we had continued attacking, but maybe we would have won the game comfortably.
When they are down...... you don't fecking let them get up.
