So after my match thread cherry was popped last week in great style, I created the match thread and the Reds turned the clock back 20 years and played like they wanted it, I figured it was down to me again for the next league encounter against a team I so passionatly hate.

So what interesting tales can I amuse you with about Birmingham?

Well I've played a few venues in Brummy with band, most memorable was the table throwing incident. Fella climb on stage and put his arm around our singers neck and tried to strangle him. He was thrown out but returned about 20 minutes later minus his shirt and as he walked past he picked up a round table, lifted it above his head and launched it at us. apparently he reckoned we looked and sounded fk all like Slade and he thought we were sh!t.

Jokes about Birmingham FC :

"Birmingham City" is a good joke in it's own right. But there is always their original name of "Small Heath Alliance" lol

Brummie went to buy a suit & the taylor measured him up & said "would you like a kipper tie sir"...Brummie replied "yes please two sugars"..

Annoying Brummies

Noddy 'it's Christmas' Holder
Stan 'smack me b1tch up' Collywobbles

The Match

Would be great if we could pick up from where we left off and batter them. Another 3 nil please with a couple more for wonder boy.

Anyway, lets not take the p1ss out of Birmingham - there'd be nowt left.

I think it will all depend on how tonight goes. If we come away with a good score draw or even a win, the lads confidence will be right up there.

An easy win for us though 3-1

Interesting how Rafa approaches this one. Assuming he plays safe tonight, I expect he may tweek the formation to be more attacking against Birmingham. Maybe play the same formation as was played against Sunderland.

I hope we destroy them.. they always seem to get lucky against us.

Their form has dipped over the past few weeks whereas ours has only got better.

3-0 Babel, Torres, Kuyt

Hate this lot with a passion. Not only are they a bogey side (we've never beaten them in 6 league meetings under rafa). They also had the cheek to charge us £42 for the FA cup game down there the year we won it. Fortunately we won 7-0 so it was worth it   :D

Attack, attack, attack, attack attack. Same side as against Sunderland for me.

The same XI that played vs Sunderland to give us a chance.., but it is rafa so expect the bizarre. Just please no lucas

Birmingham are a well organised, cohesive unit, hard to beat who will expose any weak center.. so my gut feeling is our top 4 challenge will be over in 48 hours.

If we play like we did against Sunderland i can see a big win, if we get anything less we can kiss goodbye to 4th

for that reason alone I'm gonna say it'll be a low scoring affair. I hope we win and if we do I reckon it'll be by a single goal, but I'm going to predict a 0:0 draw

Well Spurs lost so management will probably come to the conclusion that they would like to get three points but will settle for one. Lucas will start. A leopard doesn't change it spots so why should it start now?

I hope we don't play 2 defensive midfielders and do another wigan. We need to win this.

Won't happen but I'd like to see young Pacheco behind Torres, Gerrard CM.  What's the worst that can happen?  Regardless of team selection, though, I'm expecting 3 points.
