Don’t recall ever saying they are the best thing ever to happen to this club
But in the last 30 years which owners finally started to redevelop Anfield - how many league titles did we earn in the past 30 years
They spend 6% of what the club earns on new players. They have grown the clubs income to the point that it's almost maxed out. They wont pay big wages or sign top players for large fees but yet the club still doesnt earn enough to spend to rival the serial winners. Manure earn about 100 mil more than us but completely destroy us when it comes to transfers and wages and that's on top of the Glazers fleecing them.
I’m guessing you have been asleep for the past 18 months when the club has lost millions in commercial income due to the pandemic - the club for decades has fallen significantly behind many other clubs in regards commercial income and finally we have owners who are trying to improve and have done significantly - despite that we are going to lose around £120mil due to the pandemic
Man Utd are a club in close to £500mil leveraged debt , have taken out more credit lines to get through the pandemic- they have also not won the league for nearly 9 years now or CL for 13 years - looks like “completely destroying us in wages and transfers” is working out well for them
Liverpool is their biggest asset. They sold 10% of FSG to that cardinale lad for just over 500mil so that would value the company around 5 billion. We are worth 3 of that. They could easily put their own money into stadium and academy expenses and not fall foul of thei FFP bible they worship. That would allow the club to spend more on recruitment. They dont have to and the point is that they wont. Why would they when they have managed to get this far without putting anything in.
The money to build the new stand hasn’t come out of any money set aside for transfers
The Main stand was an inter company loan with no pay back date
The Anny road stand it seems is money from the deal
The money to build the training centre came from the
What a club is “worth” is only relevant when it’s sold
They stated the club will be self sustaining without the need of someone personal money to buy players - and that’s exactly what is happening , they are sticking to their word
I would hope that the players got bonuses for winning trophies but I'd bet the execs do as well even if we dont win anything.
I would hope you would have read the accounts to see how heavily incentive the players contracts are - we may not be able to pay silly wages but we pay the players when they perform
And non playing staff will get bonuses on targets met - that’s standard practise is it not
Furloughing the wages is what the scabby fooks already tried just like all the other scabby sh1t with with the patents and ESL. They will always go the scabby cheap route for extra money but it wont necessarily mean the club will spend extra on players because they dont believe in it. They always go for cheaper options and trot out some amount of spin which the likes of yourself swallow up.
Who were the “cheap options “
Alisson
VVD
Thiago
Mane
Salah
Firmino
Jota
Is a player immediately dismissed because of his price tag
Should we have bought Werner instead of Jota because he cost more ?
How about Maguire instead of VVD ? Kepa instead of Allison ?
They are a bunch of scabby fookers riding the brand to bits because they can. They arent great owners at all just expensive ones.
Riding the brand to bits ?! Is that not what Man Utd have done which has allowed them to grow commercially over the past 30 years - did you not want Liverpool to do that so that they can catch up
They build a team the manager wants
yeah so much so that we could weather the injury crisis because the manager has no problems using the squad he demands they get him. So much so that he used Tsimikas wisely so that Robbo wouldnt get ran into the ground. Same with the rest of the 11 he plays to bits regardless of whether they are 100% fit or not.
How many clubs do you think could have got through the level of injuries we had
Alisson
TAA
VVD
Gomez
Matip
Fabinho
Henderson
Thiago
Plus many others - despite an unprecedented level of injuries we still managed to rally to get ourselves back into CL
Man City lost one CB the season before and everything fell apart
You love telling people that they throw the toys out of the pram because we didnt sign the likes of Mbappe. I'd have more respect for you if you came out and told the truth which is that we will never ever ever sign players of his stature and quality.
We won’t sign a player like him because we won’t pay him over £1mil a week - hence why players like Messi, Neymar and him won’t come to the Prem - because they won’t earn the same level of money
Highest paid player in the Prem is on £375k a week - Mbappe is currently on £400k after tax - his next contract will see him hit Messi and Ronaldo wages - we aren’t going to pay that and neither will any Prem club
We signed the best CB in the world , the best GK in the world and in Salah have one of the best players in the world - are they not high calibre players the club has bought
Be honest with yourself - you just want the club to be like Chelsea , City and United in the transfer market - you want the club to either spend millions from someone’s personal fortune or get that debt up
I remember through the 80’s when fans didn’t have a clue about transfers - players left and new ones arrived , we sold big stars and then replaced to move on , the club stood on its own feet - just like it is now
