There are only a few players (IMO) in the BDO who could get into the top 15 of the PDC, possibly top 10 if they had a good spell.

Posted: Sat Jan 12, 2008 10:36 amI think the quality of the BDO darts this year (and last) has been very poor. When the top players (except Mike Gregory) defected to the PDC in '93, the quality of the BDO hit rock bottom. But in the subsequent years, the quality got better and better, producing some cracking matches - Les Wallace and Steve Beaton springs to mind. However, since Barney has switched over, with other top players like Merv King following, then the BDO has took a nose dive. the fact that Martin Adams is the reigning champion and this years semi finalist goes to prove it. While Adams is a likable darts player, he wouldn't even get near the quarter finals in the PDC.
