I'm just relieved to see an old man in the media spotlight and it isn't for touching up kids !
A controversial yet ultimately very successful manager who presided over what was an underachieving team given their fan base and money nut he brought them the success they craved for all of 27 years after the Busby era and you have to credit him with that.
I despise the man but respect his record as the most successful manager in British Football. Spiky as feck and vindictive to all who dared to disagree with him whether that was the BBC, FA, own Players, opposition managers, opposition players, the England Team, Journalists etc.............
Pound for pound I believe Bob Paisley was a better manager but then again I'm a Liverpool red but there is no denying the man is a legend of the modern game and with the current penchant for twitchy chairman who fire first and ask questions later I'm not sure we will see the like of him again.
With Moyes the probable successor it's reassuring to know that Liverpool Football Club and the hatred there of still defines the Mancs as they look to another LFC hating Scot to continue the poison coming from Castle Greyskull toward Liverpool !
