Houllier on the southampton shortlist

just heard that gerard houllier is on the shortlist to become the new manager of southampton after the sacking of paul sturrock today. it would be good to see him back in football to be honest, at a club where he could probably excel himself. the pressure of being liverpool boss proved to be too much for him in the end, especially after his heart surgery.

having said all that, they'll probably bring back glenn hoddle.

Good luck to him if does get it but im not sure being the manager of the Saints is such a great thing health wise

i think he would be a good appointment for a club a southamptons size, i hear their chairman is looking for a continental system with a director of football this could be a good role for houllier
