I think this is the kind of question I would read in the "open" forum.
But since you asked,
Henry, Duh :p

RVN is a better goalscorer in that he gets a lot of scrappy goals and tap ins but Henry is a better overall footballer by a country mile.

Speak for yourself Owzat hehe :;):

Gotta be Henry. Not cos I'm biased, simply cos he's by far the better footballer. RvN is a poacher. Henry is a f*ckin maestro. Ask yourselves he question; who would you rather see in a 'Pool shirt?

Henry is a much better all round player. He can set up opportunities and get a result out of them all by himself, we've seen him do it all the time.
Nistelroy is a better finisher, possibly the best currently, but as a player he doesn't come close to Henry.

btw my vote which I can't cast goes to Henry. Van Nistelrooy needs service to score his 20+ tap-ins a season, Henry scores scrappy goals, good goals, brilliant goals and creates them for others as well.

That rvn advert makes me laugh, the one where he scores from outside the ground - the distance from goal was probably more than his all career goals added together! I was watching his FA Cup goals in the build-up to the farce on saturday and I swear most of his goals were from inside the six-yard box and the rest were penalties! :p

Henry is a more creative and exciting player, who comes up with the odd spectacular goal every now and again, i think he just edges it......

but to be fair to van nistelrooy, he is the ultimate poacher and you cannot argue with 20+ goals a season, no matter who you are?

henry hands down. He is a very complete player great pace, dribbler, passer, finisher, crosser - you name it he has got it, in an attacking sense anyway.

RVN is a good poacher and gets in good positions to score goals, but he is not really a creative player as such and you cna't really rely on him for a moment of individual brilliance, he relys on his midfielders to suplly him with a goal.

Lets settle at this, RVN and Henry would be a deadly strike force...........:D
one is the ultimate poacher and the other is (arguably) the best player in the world, for a number of reasons!!
agree?

Thierry Henry.

In the last ten years, not even the "media darling" and generally "gets his a.r.s.e kissed by EVERYONE " Eric Cantona (jonnymac1979 spits) or anyone else (David Beckham) had a season like the one he has just had.

Except maybe Steven Gerrard.

If it came down to Henry or RVN coming to Anfield it waould have to be Henry, he has magic in his boots. As for RVN, i'd rather have Rooney in my squad than old long face. I just don't think he's that good.

I'd take a shearer, Saha, Angel, even Beattie ahead of him.

both completely different players. van nistelrooy is a poacher, a finisher. in terms of all round ability henry is streets ahead. he has as many assists as goals, takes free kicks. what more do you want?
