The Premiership - General Discussion

Pompey deserve a new stadium. It's a shame these things take so long with planning permission, inquiries and all that other bureaucratic :censored:. If Government want to encourage economic stimulation to an area, a football stadium is a good way to accomplish that.

RE: the UEFA cup. This half-arsed "group" format just doesn't work. The UEFA cup needs to be a straight two-legged knockout competition.

POURTSMOUTH ARE A GOOD SIDE WITH A VERY GOOD MANAGER BUT AHEAD OF THIS THEY HAVE GREAT FANS SOME OF THE BEST IN THE COUNTRY AND THEY DESERVE A NEW STADIUM WITH ALL THE SUCCESS IT WILL BRING.

JUST NOT AS MUCH AS WE DO :p

i didnt think pompey would want a new stadium, keep the atmosphere, possibly the best in the league at the moment. rememebr what happened when southampton moved...the atmosphere was wful in the new stadium.

Cracking goal though, always nice to see it against neverton, especially with an ex manure keeper...hehe

Bit off topic, but does anyone know why Harry Redknapp was never mentioned when England were looking for a new manager.

his man management looks top class, i mean anyone who can performances week in week out out of David James, and Sol Campbell......

No i agree they are very good players, but even the most die hard David james fan (does this person actually exist) would have to say he is prone to the odd clanger, but even that seems to have been ireoned out recently (although in all fairness i don't see Portsmouth week in week out)

And Sol Campbell was such at emotional wreck that Arsene Wenger let him go for nothing at all, and as you said they are both back in the reckoning for an England call up on the merit of there recent performances.

Also Taylor is knocking on the door, I am Just surprised Redknapp doesn't get more credit!

Jesus i sound like i want a bloody season ticket

Mate, your boys are definitely flying at the mo and fair play to them.... the way they're playing right now definitely deserves some recognition and I'd love for your lot to get into europe next year.... not above us or at our expense, I'm sure you'll understand... :p :D

Good luck for the rest of the season and god help you when it comes to holding on for 3rd place as the reds are coming! It'll be interesting come May and I hope Pompey is right up there... just behind us of course...  :D :D

cheers guys, those words were touching :D we got arsenal next, i'd be happy with a draw but a win would be great! hey wouldn't it be great if we played each other in the champions league final? :D obviously we would need more class players but if we did get into the champions league then better players would want to come to us  would feel weird if we got into europe though, but we're going the right direction! :)

Fucking Behave yourself.

You are doing well this season and long may it continue, but to suggest you and us in the Champions League Final is ridiculous. I like Portsmouth, their fans, their manager, their players, their old chairman, their stadium etc.

  But...

They are a million miles away from performing in the Champions League, you may finish 4th and I hope you do, but not at our expense.

Good Luck.
