Remember the women on the Island couldn't have kids for some reason, so it has something to do with that. Also remember back to the vision Charlie had when he was holding Claire's baby in the water. It was a vision as if Claire was Mary and Hurley was Joseph or something, and the fact that the kid was meant to be the savior of the World going by the premonition that the fella had that Claire visited before she got on the plane. It definitely has something to do with biblical conotations. Maybe the Smoke Monster is actually the Devil himself?

:nod i agree mate , definatley biblical issues , I was thinkin the Jacob and esau betrayal/revenge thing, but would esau have such supernatural powers.. the devil would.  That temple fountain must have powers from the garden of eden , I even thought could Jacob be the evil one?  and maybe we are reading it all wrong..... I ve thought a lot of things and tbh..I havent a fkn clue lol

The ending seems to be a little predictable because they are already showing how life would be if they had not crashed on the island so its obvious they will be saved from all the shyte that happened.

I don't think that is obvious at all. I think what will happen is that eventually in the other timeline they will end up in the same situation showing that no matter what, it could have only ended one way or something like that.

In my opinion, the story of Desmond and Penelope is one of the most moving ones in the series. I'm looking fowards to see what's up with them in that new reality.

Watched the latest one last night, and guess what? More f*cking questions! Starting to do my head in now. I'm starting to wonder if they'll be able to answer everything and it'll make some logical sense in the end, because it's like having a 1000 questions on a single page, with only a couple of lines to fill in the answers it seems. They are running out of time and episodes to explain. It could turn out to be the biggest anti-climax on TV in some time.

I'm starting to wonder tho, is Jacob the baddie?
Look at what he made Ben do, could be a twist

Best episode of the series this week IMO.

It does feel like it's starting to shape.

The 'candidate' appears to be the person who will take over from Jacob on the island - and it's down to the last 6.

Only bit I thought was a bit weak last night was when ben was bargaining with the principal about taking his job. How could the principal say he was going to 'torch' alex?? He had nothing to bargain with at all. Bit poor I thought.

Hmmm.

Another prediction: the island is the "lost" contenent of Atlantis.

The story earlier in one of the series' regarding how the Island can jump from place to place fits perfectly with this, because Atlantis itself has many theories of where the location of it actually lies, one of them being in Indionesia somewhere, just right before you come to Australia. There are also clues such as the giant Greek-like statue, and the Egyptian/Greek glyphs in the cave where the smoke monster came from and from the ancient temples there.
