i think right now the problem is not alonso leaving or not.
the problem now is alonso will be leaving on RM's terms instead of ours.
the fee will be around 28m? against our valuation of 30-35 mil.
i am really disappointed in alonso. enough said.

What planet are you living on?...god help us if we have to rely on Lucas....he will never be any better than he is now....and thats :censored:!........99% of LFC fans think the same.  :nod

So because 99 per cent think the same according to you your right? I dont agree that its 99  per cent but he is very underrated and probably about 60 per cent of our fans would rather see him sold but they are all blind to his actual talent.

I think if he plays alot more this season and if we do have to rely on him he will gain confidence and will be quality.Did you even watch our game against United last season where he bossed the midfield and we beat the champions  4-1.The lad obviously has talent and if you dont think so then you really has to think why he was under 20 brazil captain and up will last year was in the main squad. He highly rated in brazil and got player of the year in 2007 and when i see his passing sometimes i can understand how is highly rated.

If  Lucas was named Luke Warmwater and he was born in Liverpool, everyone would think he was destined for great things at the club.

I really hope Lucas can improve but not at the expense of us losing important points to do so. He needs to play more but I also think he has limited ability as he is below average in everything he does. His passing is suspect, his tackling caused more foul than actually getting the ball back, he doesn't have speed and can't shoot, he can't dribble. For that, I really think he has lots of room for improvement. One thing we must get over is that Lucas isn't any top prospect from Brazil as he was not even consider a reserve player for their regular national team. I hope he proves me wrong but to improve in all of the above attribute enough to substitute for Xabi just not possible.

I would be very very disappointed if Rafa is going to settle at the current squad without adding anyone after the departure of Xabi....

Give Lucas a chance, definite improvement in second  half of last season(maybe it was the hair cut) invest the money in a  da Silva type player. get a cheap Scott Parker as back up and tyou always have option of moving Stevie G back. have faith people:;):
