this is getting frustrating Madrid need to put up or shut up. That said he was a huuuge part of last season's success so we have a big hole to fill.

Ok so its just a rumour but i wouldnt be surprised if it becomes more than that... i heard ManCity were interested in Xabi Alonso now and are willing to pay more than what Madrid are offering...
If theres any truth to that, would anyone be interested in doing business with that bunch if the money theyr offering is more than what Real Madrid are ? Or would they be considered a potential rival in which case it would be a no, no ?!

To me, if the difference is big and by big i mean Real offering 25mill and City coming in with a 35mill bid or so... then i wouldnt mind selling him to City if he'd agree to join them... if its only a couple of mill or so i would look to get Madrid to increase their bid to match it and if not just sell him to Madrid at a lower price to keep him away from the English league and to give him his preferred move while at it...

sorry.. i dont think Alonso would sign for City... well not if Real have a bid accepted from us thats for sure...

City in shock move for Alonso (ESPN Report)

Manchester City are now rumoured to be preparing for transfer bid Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso.

Alonso has been consistently linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer, but the Daily Mail reports that Man City have been spurred into action as Alonso is keen on leaving Anfield.
