Is Alonso and Fener talking?
Has negotiations gone far?

What do you mean by 1% is the manger's fee?

Yes, I dont think you are following. Alonso and Fener have already talked and agreed. Fener and LFC already talked and agreed. Xabi's manager is the only hurdle which, in reality, not a hurdle because he wants 1.2, Fener offers 700k. It is practically a done deal.

:D  Yes, I mean Alonso's agent is asking for 1.2

Though I am sure FB offered 1.2 to Xabi as well, but quickly raised right after. It was a good try though  :D

They recovered by saying "ooops, where did that dot from? Let's make it round and 12" :D  :D

:D ...

yes benitez wants 1.2 million from the sale of alonso... can't you see... he's got a goatee now... makes sense...

anyway i think this rumour could be true... without this sale we really won't have the rumours about us paying 17.5 million + Finnan for Barry... and when Benitez said "we're still interested in Barry but we have to sell in order to buy him" i think he had been paving way for this...

We have already turned down over £14million for Alonso from Juventus, why should we sell for less now?

That is the rumor I have. 12 mil for LFC, and 12 mil for Xabi in 3 + 1 years. It is expected that this signing is concluded this weekend. At least no later then next Tuesday.

I think at the time LFC was not that desperate for money. Then Juve signed Poulsen. One fewer team that wants to sign Xabi. Now the top cash you could get is 12 mil. Or may be FB bargained good. I have no clue. It beats me  :)

Because i think that Juventus's 14 million was instalment plan. Fenerbahçe's offer 12 million is spot cash.

It makes no sense that Xabi is worth £7 million less than Barry though, that is completely crazy, he's an international footballer with a European championship medal ffs!

Yeah but Barry is English so automatically costs more.

I've been one of xabi's biggest critics but i think we should keep him and still sign barry . ALonso i think is getting back to his best , i think he has uped his game and has taken this transfer rumor thing as a wake up call . BE good if we signed barry and kept alonso , makes gives a chance for rafa to rotate sensibly and also barry can be used in a number of positions and is very versatile , also has loads of experience and is consistent in terms of performance on the pitch .
