If Torres & Gerrard still play for us next season, personly I dont think either will still be here. The service Torres recieves is pathetic for starters and I think Gerarrds going abroard. Dont blame him either.
Call me pesimistic but the yanks and gerrard will cash in on him/and he will himself.

And Nando will not stay when the service to him is from 4 defenders  Kuyt/Johnson & Aurelio/Insua.

The lad is going to leave with a heavy heart but he is off.
The writtings on the wall Im afraid.

Torres resisted a lot of time the temptations of big clubs when he didn't even get into the UEFA cup.

My point being that it will require more than an awful season to run out his patience. You might say that Atletico was his childhood club, but Torres is too comfortable in Liverpool and Torres has got most of his reputation in Liverpool and I think he will stay.

As for Gerrard, I'd say a similar thing.

This season is being awful, but I think these two key player's commitment to the club will resist this awful season.

Agree with you there Sabre.  Can't see either of them leaving this summer, not voluntarily anyway.  Whether the owners would try to cash in to make up the cash for not qualifying for the CL is another thing.

Sabre the players surrounding them are awful not to mention the tactics, they deserve better.

If you say to gerrard at the end of the season, "more of the same?" then I would think he's obviously going to be tempted to walk. Top players don't like playing for average teams, and an average team is what we are. If on the other hand you said to him it's all going to be different this time, new ideas, fresh approach etc then you may get a different response. We'll see. As for Torres, it is inconcieveable that one of the best strikers in the World will be competing in the best losers cup thing this season, and quite possibly next season as well. If he goes well in the World Cup, then we are going to be knocked over in the rush. The question is then what to do with the 60 million quid he pulls in. Give it to rafa so he can buy another couple of Aquilani's I suppose.

We are plaing with two attacking players Gerrard and Torres and both can/will leave this summer and I dont blame them. btw Im not interested on cashing in on the pair of them they have been lied to like we have.
And I wish them all the best, should they depart.

I think if we don't get either investment, a change of fortune or a new manager Gerrard may well leave. Torres I think will give it another season, but without Gerrard he may just decide to cut his losses and run.  :(

Personally I dont think either will go. I'd be fookin gutted if either did. I'd rather Rafa walked before them two
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing

they will stay if we get a new manager and that manager is given the money to spend, the money is ythere now but will be spent on the new ground.

its a big problem, do you

spend the money on the new ground and only sell players to buy players but never being able to get the best players, this way you risk the team missing the top 4 year on year

or do you

forget the new ground and spend all the money on new players but miss out on the money the new ground would bring in.

by the way the money bit is only based on what SSN are saying about the new fround now having the funds.

Its getting to be de ja vue from Houlliers last season when Owen and Gerrard were obviously unhappy. Bad results, no faith in the manager and the team and players only really "trying" in the big games. If we need to change the manager, I hope H&G dont hesitate like Moores did and give Rafa an extra season........by then it could be too late.

no

but the owners are getting the funds to build the ground, i take it that the rights to the name will be used to make the money.

but what i am saying that all fans have beeing going on about is the new ground , well the lack of the new ground, so they are sorting it, we can not have it both ways.

it might be a good idea if G&H asked the fans what they would like, 100mil spent on the start of the new grounf or 100mil spent on new players.

Like they(G&H) care about our club.Get real Moores takes a lot of the blame in my eyes of where we are now but he wanted the best for our club that's why he sold to the what he thought was the money bags yanks and we all thought they were great at the time.Look at us know.I have never been so worried to be a Livrpool fan.It doesn.t matter no more who are manager is it just matters who the owners are.Simple as.

they care a lot about the club right now, it could make them a hell of a lot of money or it could make them go bust..........so yes they care about the club, it might not be for the right reasons but they care.
