Digg is basically a like a news aggregator kind of like newsnow only it's for everything.

eg this one was in the top 10 for this week...

In short if you like somethign you see on the web you can submit it to digg and the more people 'digg' it, then the higher up rank wise it gets so there is always something cool to read there.

There was also somethgin about some Russian hackers who managed to get past some SSL and they got into cash points at all the 7/11s in New York or somethign like that.
