for those who do, and those who dont, LFC admin make their money to run newkit through the advertising revenue generated, which is governed to a greatly by how many people post in the forum. however, as we all know there are certain posters whose names need not be mentioned, who seem to be living their entire lives on this site (and possibly others). some of have have an average of 20++ posts per day. they reply to every other post that is posted on a thread.

when does it become frequent enough to be considered as spam? i thought of some ideas which could be implemented to curb such posters.

1) any poster who posts 3 posts consecutively without anyone else posting is considered spamming hence should be warned.

2) increase the time limit before you're allowed to make the next post. now it stands at 30seconds. change it to 60seconds.

3) is it possible for posts to go through some review process before they show up on the site?

any other ideas? this is not a personal attack to anyone btw.

yet the title is 24.48 which is the average amount of posts i have made a day since i got here on 24 Oct - 55 days .

I understand where you're coming from here Maypax but ................

Spam is more about content than frequency and for posts to go through "some review process before they show up on the site" is a none starter, we'd need more mods than members to vet it all

He is accusing me of spamming the place becuase my average post count on here is 24 posts a day and becuase i discuss football and has mentioned it numerous times on the forum whenever i post .

So basically as i have complained about the post and been informed im in the wrong and its my fault that i post too much about football and liverpool and dont insult a single person nor have i broken any of the rules that i have read about in the forum rules i will give up posting about the club i support passionately and will defend it to the hilt .

Things have shown their true colours to me of the last couple of days where it seems because one or a couple of people complain about you - your particiaption in the forum is at risk .

did i mention Benny's name? i was talking in general terms. but he comes along and feels self conscious and admits that he posts over 24 times a day in the 56 days he has been here. so get your facts right.
