If we do get £80million I think its a great deal. I had heard that it was "only" for £60million earlier , so I am quite happy with £80million as long as it goes into the club and not into the tw@ts pockets!

does that mean we'll have 'standard chartered' on our shirts?

is there not a company called 'feck off you Yank b@stards'? :D
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

oh no, let's worry what the shirt might look like more than the £££ we get to put the sponsor on the shirt :O  As I said before, some fans seem to care more about how the shirt looks than the money which could affect what players are wearing it
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

Hicks changed the Corintheans kit colour, they better leave our kit red, that 80 million will be going in the yanks pockets and to the RBS Rafa wont see a penny of it.

For those who suggested Coca Cola you should be ashamed of yourselves! They are ethically an awful company, one of the world's worst. I watched a Mark Thomas gig a few years ago where he highlighted their relentless drive for profit no matter what the cost (usually human in developing world countries). To be associated so closely to this company, would in my view, be detrimental to the club no matter what money they would be prepared to pay for the honour of having their logo on one of the greatest sporting clubs in the world. If you think of what Barca are doing and actually looking beyond money and making a difference to peoples lives, being associated with positive values is the way to go. LFC stands for so much more than just its football.

the money sounds nice but the words 'standard chartered' don't exactly get the pulse racing, do they?

Gillett said. “It will be one of the great, worldwide corporations. And I think it will be a sponsor people will be pleased and surprised to be associated with.”

aN THIS MADE ME LAUGH FROM Brian READE IN THE MIRROR

Memo to FIFA re: investigating more Premier League clubs for tapping up teenagers who are contracted to foreign sides.

It's a great idea, but I think you'll be wasting your time investigating Liverpool.

I'm not saying there's no chance of finding them guilty just that the punishment would be pointless. Because, as part of their masterplan to bring the club to its knees, the American owners have already banned Rafa Benitez from buying players in the next two transfer windows anyway.

A bit shocked by us going for the 'standard chartered' deal, it would seem less than what REDBULL was going tooffer. I think there might be more to this than meets the eye.
DIC have used them before.
also ...............if Hicks needs a loan he now has 'standard chartered' on his side.

in all not to happy about the deal as i dont see the money going to the club.

Over the moon about the youg Southend kid, he is going to be great if he is given the time............It only took Southend 10 times to ask us to go and see him.
