Bloody 'ell, a difficult one!

Giles quit management (in England at least) I think at the end of the 1970s.

I think he managed West Brom.

He also managed Ireland for a while.

Giles and Charlton were both Irish managers, so maybe he's Irish?

However, if he played for Ireland under Giles he would have been well into his 30s by the time Charlton took over, so maybe he isn't Irish.

Daglish has managed Liverpool, Blackburn, Newcastle and was caretaker manager of Celtic.

The only person I can think of without resorting to Google is John Wark.

He played for Liverpool under Daglish and Ipswich under Robson. He may have played for either Watford or Villa under Taylor.

Our own John Barnes would have played under Daglish, Taylor, Robson but I'm certain Big Ron, Big Jack and Johnny Giles weren't involved.

Giles and Big Ron were both managers of West Brom at some stage so it must be a former West Brom player.
