Yes folks, i came out here yesterday,

Just wondered if anyones got any places to visit...good beaches etc.

The weathers proper sunny but really windy, anyone know if the wind is typical for the island.

A picture of me with the parents in the hot tub.....before we opened the Champaign.

Well I haven't been in Lanzarote, but I have been in the nearby Tenerife, so I did dig out some info in it's day (plus I have a friend there).

Lanzarote, in english, Lancelot.

"Standard beaches" with all the services: Playa Blanca.

Wild beaches, beautiful to see, but beware of trying a good swimmer in it's waters: El Papagayo y la Cera. It's in the south bottom and you reach there by clay tracks.

The wind is known as "the island of good winds", so I guess that answers your question about the wind. However, there are both leeward and windward beaches, more or less exposed. It's a known place to practice wind surd and kite surf.

Well, gotta work a little bit, I'll continue later, the only condition so that I help you is that you make more photos. Also are you going to have some freedom? or do you want family plans?

Seen that place today Judge. Beaches are spectacular.

Thanks Sabre,

The wind is really strong though. The villa owner explained to us yesterday that the wind is stronger than usual. This is due to some wind that picks up sand and / or insects from the Sahara (only 70km away) and brings it over here. Dropping sand and it has been known to bring huge swarms of locusts and moths over to the island.

One thing i would say is the road signs leave a little to be desired Judge, take any chance to buy a map before you come. The maps here are , well, :censored:!

No probs mate...

13 Celsius is normally the minimum temperature of the year here, so can come any time of the year and enjoy the weather.

Been to El Gulfo today. Its a lake that looks like its a golf course....some algi turned it green. Very weird......apart from that just been in the pool

It is Dawson...and it's only four days young :;):
