this might have bein discussed b4 but people i want to know who you all think is the best and know baised opinion who's better 30+ old age pensioner keane who think hes in his prime and dnt want to give up his pay check then man who walked out of republic of ireland squad on the eve of the world cup. veiria who stayed with aresnal cus he wasn't gonna get payed the same amount as zidane and made up some exscue he stayed cus hes love for aresnal is to strone to break and is a huge fan of gerrard. or the liverpool captain who turned down chelsea when most of us throught hes was leaving for chelsea who single handly last season carried the team into a champions league place and hes goals in austria go liverpool through the champions league.and he got hes chance to show how much he liverpool when we face chelsea in the coming weeks.

Vieira still has that little bit more class than Gerrard, but Gerrard has a better all round game.

vieira by the minutest of margins over gerrard because he still has a slightly better ability to control a game. however the scary thing is that vieira is currently at his peak where as stevie is still 2-3 years off his.

i think vieria is the best but could vieria carry a team into the champions league ingle handled with players like biscan in your team and a defensive mnager who think heskey is better than baros.

Viera, without a doubt as he is already established and at his peak. Gerrard is not the finished article yet. However, for all of their present abilities, I think both (or all three for that matter) are still short of Souness at his best. He was the guv'nor then, and Gerrard still have a lot to learn but on he has a terriffic engine and seems to have a better level of skill. It is really up to him to improve and move up a few notches to reach the level of Veira or Keane at his peak or even to Souness' level.

Vieira without a shadow of a doubt.

Gerrard's ball retention since the start of the Euro's has been abysmal.

viera's the best of the three mentioned at the moment, but im sure gerrad wil over take him in the next few seasons, Stu, gerrards ball retention has always been the same with him trying to hit to many spectacular balls, but i think abysmal is a bit harsh
