Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby 106-1093504160 » Tue Sep 07, 2004 12:54 pm

the only idiots bad mouthing lfc are other fans infiltrating this site. however, it does make for interesting topics. what is apparent, is that some people like to use abusive language against others when they post whatever they feel. This forum is for ALL, and not one individual, no matter what the thread is. Unless somepeople get their head out of there rectum and join the human race, then unfortunately there will always be disruption in the postings.

You've been sniping at AB for the last couple of threads and I think you and Stu are very quick to to swear people out of it merely because they say something "silly" or disagree with you.

AB is entitled to his opinion like everyone else, and if he's wrong he's wrong, but it ain't big and it ain't hard to sit behind a keyboard dishing out abuse or being disrespectful.

This out of towner thing is getting tiresome as well...

I have a problem with idiots bad mouthing the club I love. Not with any person in particular. I have disputed points with most people on this forum, stu the red included, and I will continue to do so as this is surely the purpose of a forum.

I have my own views and I stick by them.

AB has managed to tot up some 750 plus posts despite being a member for only three weeks, I think this speaks volumes for the quality involved.

I have not dished out any abuse on this forum for along time, I have been sarcastic and swore in the past, but not abusive. At first I became angered by other members and became abusive, you will notice that now I merely put forward my own argument, rather than swearing etc.

Your last comment is such a  contradiction on yourself it is unreal.

You say everyone is entitled to their opinion. So IF that is my opinion (and I do not say it is) then you are simply being disrespectful to my opinion are you not?

In actual fact I do respect your opinion Leon, don't get me wrong, and I agree that you know as much as anyone on this site about football and (all of our) beloved Liverpool FC.

I disagreed strongly with AB's initial post but just because I thought his arguement wrong I didn't feel the urge to completely dismiss the guy as an idiot or know nothing. I picked holes in his arguement, yes, but I think if someone has an opinion on something which I disagree with I'll at least try to be respectful in contradicitng it.

This "out of towner" issue that you and Stu have raised in the past (in an earlier thread on the English national team you replied to AB's comment that he was Croatian by saying "that explains a lot") of course people who regularly attend matches are automatically going to be in an immediately advantageous position to those who only watch the games on satellite tv or highlights on match of the day. However, that doesn't mean that their opinion is automatically better, as some people (and I'm not referring to you) can't see the woods for the trees and regularly watching something doesn't necessarily mean that person fully understands it.

For example, Brian Clough said only two weeks ago that he rarely if ever goes to Premiership matches and only watches Match of the Day (he couldn't even remember Thierry Henry's name, referring to him as the "Frenchman up front") yet I doubt no one in their right mind could question his knowledge of the sport.

The other point is how many Scousers have actually been first team regulars for Liverpool since the mid 1980s? I'd say I'd struggle to name 10.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion in ANY forum or walk of life provided it is informed and not overtly offensive (you could hardly respect Hitler's opinion on the Jews) but I personally wouldn't disrespect someone if I disagreed with them

I have no issue with you Leon and I always enjoy your slant on things but I thought that AB was getting a fairly raw deal.

Because of United States is a football hating nation I can not watch all of the games. So far I have only watched one live Liverpool game, the other one I watched days later and seen highlights of the Manchester City game. However that does not mean that I don't know what the f--u--c--k is going on and how the players are performing.

Whether you have realized it or not this forum is pretty active. By the time I get on online there are 3 pages of descent topics that a member can post and get at least 100 posts a day. I don't have to get huge amounts of post to spam, because out of the 800 posts that I have made not once did I get off topic or spam for that matter. Now you may think so because you do not agree with me and I don't give a f--u--c--k if you don't, I will state my opinion because I have the right to do so, don't take it personaly just take it. Disrespect me and I will treat you like ******, I can be a very mean mother-f--u--c--k--e--r .

Chill out? Now you're telling me to ****** chill out after you get on my back on something that you don't agree with me being that Manchester United fans are full of themselves and don't respect any other players in the Premiership then their own.

I don't flame you when I don't disagree with you, I respect your opinion and you need to respect mine opinion as well, whether you agree with it or not.
