Not to mention that they've won something that actually counts and Rangers haven't and will never.

uefa cup final and winning the league this year, celtic have dnoe what recently?

And King Kenny agrees with me

As for the 'people' who murdered.. not football fans. Both Rangers and Celtic are fanatical. Glasgow oni the evening after a derby is not the most fun place to be in the world...

but, come on the gers!!!

"fanatical" isn't the right word. Both clubs have a load of scumbag sectarian bigoted fans which are as bad as each other.

I believe Rangers staff are more sectarian as Celtic have had many protestant players (the 1967 team had 4, and Jock Stein was protestant, as is Kenny Dalglish), while I don't think Rangers have ever had a catholic from Britain or Ireland (except Mo Johnstone) and Alex Ferguson said when he played for Rangers he got abuse from the board for marrying a catholic.

surely thats just because protestants make better footballers? :P

Trust me, I go scotland 6 times a year... and I could never say one set of fans were better than the other!!! But most of m,y lot are season ticket holders with Rangers so i get to know them more, a better side, a side of which I havent really seen from many Celtic fans...so far

catholic players prefer crosses. :D

Yeah - fans as bad as each other. You'd have to be a nutter to wear a jersey around there.

I remember being in a bar in London and being asked within 3 minutes of sitting next to some guy with a face like a boxer, whether I followed Rangers or Celtic.

"I don't watch Scottish football" was the answer this coward gave :D

Ireland (Sorry, I should have pointed that out)

There are very strong ties between Ireland (South) and Celtic. Personally, I couldn't give a shite about any Scottish club.

But Rangers have a very bad rep and the actions of those fools Barry mentioned is just one more.

Dispicible behaviour. God knows what would have happened if they lost the bloody thing.

I agree that both fans are as bad as each other but I think Rangers internally is more bigoted by a long way.

What is the pizza reference?

The guys shot by the piza delivery people./ next day net was covered in celtic fans all balaclavared carrying pizza boxes and plastic guns

And Celtic fans are JUST as bigoted in Glasgow mate. There is no lesser of two evils here lol

but, as you get to the outskirts of Glasgow, the rivalry becomes slightly more friendly. With rangers and celtic pubs literally next door to each other (but even that can kick off)

I think you misread my post. I acknowledged that Celtic fans are just as bad as Rangers fans but pointed out Celtics record of buying British protestants (greatest manager and greatest player) is much better than Rangers record of buying British catholics.

Wow - that Pizza stuff is a disgrace, the club really must crack down on all the terrorism glorification.

Actually, the only pic was of six gobshites holding Dominos pizza boxes and waving a blowup cup and it's caused no end of fuss among the fans of the hoops that I know.

Fucking morons, if you ask me.

However, the difference is they didn't actually go out and look for people to kill.

they do. both sets of fans do every match day. thats the point.

and Celtic have had more protestants.. but its a total joke when the religion is more important than the football...

You lot treat Lennon about as well as the Gers.. both sets of fans need to sort it out

well, I know that Celtic fans are notorious for being very well behaved travellers when in Europe. There was almost a quarter of a million Celtic fans that went to Seville and not a sigle arrest. Less than that went to Manchester two years ago for Rangers, and what happened there? Yeah, they tore the place up.
