how many times does this need to be discussed, we never tried to get him, he was approached for consultation should benitez leave, not to be manager himself but to advise on who should be manager. it seems this is only ever disputed on this forum but is common knowledge elsewhere as to why he was approached.it was used as a stick to beat the owners with, same as our poor form was used a s tick to beat the owners with, but that all seems to have died down now we are in second place and put a few good results together
