My wife has just brought me a 160G ps3 for £120 of some spoilt little rich kid
who's had it a week but likes smoking green more

Comes with call of duty 4 and GtA 4 aswell, i might flog my xbox as i think my
gamertag is corrupted anyway and will no longer redeem my Ms Points ever since
it went back to get repaired.

What to do, i gotta get fifa 09 again now

I have a 360 but havent played it in over a year due to enjoying playing on the WII more , what is the PS3 like in comparison ?

I've been trying to get back into PC gaming lately but my custom PC is acting the maggot and keeps bluescreening due to (probably) faulty memory.

I had been playing Dawn of War 2 and Empire: Total War.

Graphically the PC is superior to a console but you can't beat a console's ease of use.

Really? Strange that. I traded my Wii for a 360 straight swap in Game. Daft f*ckers didnt even check to see if it worked. Could have been broken. Anyway, I got it with the year warranty so if it breaks (which it will due to me sticking my boot in it when the deal is almost up) I get a new one handed straight to me over the counter. Grand. Wii was a major disappointment for me as a gamer. It seriously lacked hardcore games to play on Fun, yes, but I play on 360 far more. Was a real shame to get rid of Twilight Princess and Mario Galaxy, and would loved to have played Metroid Prime 3 for it, but other than those three games the console just disappoints. Nintendo better get the potential of the motion controls right for the next console. It should be good.

Reason being I needed a 360 was the new Batman game, and Fight Night 4. I've never been fond of either genre, but holy f*ck do those two games looks incredible, especially FN:R4. It's stunning looking.

Dont know why i ever got rid of my ps3, it's a feckin awesome machine.

Smooth and absolutely silent, graphically kicks a$s, i can surf the the flippin net, i watched sunday's lost on project free tv :bowdown

, now i don't have to watch footy doctor on my pc it's on my lcd, omg and COD4 is the
feckin b0llox.

I love both the 360 and PS3, I do probably play a bit more PS3 though cos I've only had it about 6 weeks, plus I play a lot of Killzone 2 cos I'm in a clan with my mate.

One thing I don't like about the PS3 is the controller, the thumb sticks are sooooo f*&ked up, the 360 controller rules all imo :bowdown

I still think the 360 is better for all round gaming imo, basically cos of Xbox Live cos PSN is cr3p compared, but as a media player the PS3 is awesome :buttrock

It's funny, now I'm 33 I've asked myself for the first time, what the fúck means 1up?

When games were games, when you had only three lives to show if you're good enough (nowadays you can die 50 times in Prince of Persia and you won't be punnished for your incompetence), this 1up thing appeared. What does the up stand for? 1 live up?

Yes in mario on nes you picked up 1UP you would get 1 extra life.

Ive been playing GTA: Chinatown wars on the DS. Excellent game. Just thought id give it a go and 4 hours later I realised its quite good !

It's got nothing to do with brand loyalty. If you're brand loyal, then you just shouldn't be playing games. I own a 360 and I still wouldn't touch a PS3 with a bargepole, purely for gaming reasons alone. Sure the 360 is a piece of sh*t build wise, but it's still the best gamer console on the market by a distance if you can forgive it dying on you once or twice. However, I was almost tempted to buy a PS3 for that alone, and then I came to the conclusion that it's still overpriced, and it's still lacking some AAA exclusives to tempt me getting one. That and the fact that I just don't like the online functionality. It's just not the same as Live. Never will be either. I'll probably buy a PS3 when it comes down in price dirt cheap, but by then this generation will be grinding to a halt and a new one will be forthcoming. Fact is Sony disappointed massively this gen. PS3 just didn't carry with it the same fulfillment that the original did, and the PS2 did in it's later stages, and even then the PS2 disappointed somewhat with Sony's failed promises. No doubt the PS3 would be a decent console but for the 360 being out there at a far cheaper price and offering nothing but a gameing experience as opposed to all the added sh*t the PS3 seems to want to bog itself down with. Identity crises. Thank God MS are in the market, otherwise us punters would be getting shafted by Sony.

As for Nintendo, I've a soft spot for them, but they can seriously stick it now. They sold out. The Wii is nothing more than a cheap whore of a console. It's fun for a bit, then you get bored and you want to try something else. Whatever happened to creating decent titles for you systems, Nintendo?

MS will eventually end up dominating the market. It's just unavoidable now. I just hope they don't do a Sony or repeat the debacle of the disgraceful RROD failures for the next gen. Nintendo should either make good on their failed promise for what the Wii should have been for their new system or f*ck off and just make games for MS or Sony systems like Sega are now. It's that simple and it would be better for us.

Mate 360 has been out there for a longer amount of time than the ps3 thats why its chepaer and has much more popularity , just wait till the game titles start coming out for ps3 than we can make a direct comparison . Sure the online experience of a ps3 is not as good as live but thats the thing , you don't have to pay to play online and i'm sure in the next console for MS it will still be the same . Graphics wise with a hdmi cable nothing can touch the ps3 .

You're right about the Wii though , biggest waste of money
