i'm working in prague all next week, from the 20th to 27th, meaning i'll be there for the arsenal and hull games. anyone know of any decent bars to watch the footy in over there? or any other good recommendations for how to spend my spare time - apart from drinking shed loads of tasty beer, of course... and avoiding the stag party mongs

On the main square there are numerous sports bars.

Although some of the backstreet bars will probably offer better value for money in the way of drinks prices.

I had a great time there. Avoid Irish or British bars, stag lads, more expensive and the local bars are much better.  Had a great drink in a beerkeller not far from the main square.  Think it was the budvar keller or something like that

i lived in barcelona for 5 years, judge. if you can survive pickpockets and bag snatchers there you can survive them anywhere.

(andy comes back in 1 week wearing just his underpants... i know)

it's not 30p a pint anymore maybe 10years go... you can pay 4Euros in the city centre. The old town is cheap compared o emgland, well london but it certainly isn't 30p a pint.

stil... great city and lots of good boozers. The odd strip joint as well..... :D

Exactly. With the exchange rate it's awful. I was in amsterdam the other weekend and was paying 10 euros for an english breaky or 20 euros fo a half decent main course and 4-5 Euros a pint, awful. Obviously Prauge is cheeper than Dam but it certainly isn't cheap-cheap. My old man told me itd be 50p a pint before I went and me and the lads were, obviously, well excited.. but we were let down and this was like 3years ago. But like I say we had a great weekend.

We went to Amsterdam last August for a stag do and was amazed at how expensive it was and that was when the exchange rate was half decent - 5 euros a drink ?!
