I think Everton are a fairly decent team, I want us to beat them the same as any other team but for me the big rivalry is Manure, I fecking hate them so much, probably almost as much as the bitters hate us. I would absolutely bloody love it if we pip them to the league this year and I would go on a frigging rampage against all my Manure supporting friends who have given me so much grief over the last 18 odd years.

I am not sure why people do not like Everton fans being how they are. Surely it makes you happy you are a red and you can laugh at your more unfortuanate neighbourhood rivals? I like listening to them moan, it keeps me warm inside. As for celebing the fact that we lose, or united win and therefore we do not prosper that is football. If Man City beat Everton in the FA cup final 4nil I would be dancing around with joy with all the city fans. It'd be good fun and that is what it's about. I would like everton to come close to the 4th spot this year only for them to be beaten too it on the last day.. I would be overjoyed.

Similarly I was up off my sofa shouting 'get in' when Porto equalised last night, just seeing Fergies face made me celebrate and shout ' :censored: off Fergie you :censored:'. I'm usually a mild mannered chap. If the hatred I have for Manchester United is the same as the Bitters for us then I have no problems with them, hate me, I hate you 2. That's what football is about.

When United play Everton I hope for a 5-5 classic, 4red cards and 4 broken legs. If I needed United to win to help up I would want united to win. Same the other way round. When us loosing has no baring on Everton like now, as we are far better than them, why shouldnt they want us to lose??

I accept that
But do you honestly make the effort to watch their matches wanting them to get beat or make it your business to look out for their scores hoping they have lost?
I am not ars.ed in the slightest what they do. They are beneath us in every aspect of what a football club is all about.

Kharhaz wrote:Everton are known as bitters for a reason. Only there fans would pay to attend a match Liverpool are involved in. Look at the fan in the Real Madrid crowd at Anfield. He cannot lose face if Liverpool win (he lost that when he became a bitter !) but he was there in the hope that Liverpool did lose, also there was a bitter dancing with the Milan fans when they beat us in the Euro final. Its funny to a point, its funny how they are an Everton supporter but that means support anyone else anywhere in the world as long as they beat Liverpool. So that support is never 100% if it meant Everton to lose a match so that Liverpool miss out would they do it? of course they would, and this is where it is no longer funny. To support Everton is to give your life to resentment for the closest (I say closest, I mean only) rival the club has. And then its no longer about football, its about ensuring your life from then on is given over to spending the rest of your life in hate. Its how things currently stand in this present rivalry. I can only hope it doesnt get worse, but im guessing it will.

IF Everton were in a European Final and lost, I'd :censored: party all night long with the teams fans which beat them, as long as not Man U, Chelsea.
