Anybody been following GDC this week?

No major announcements that we didn't already know about, although it looks like Hideo Kojima might be making MGS5 after all.

Kojima did a slide show at GDC and ended with a slide entitled "The next Metal Gear" with a picture of Raiden in the background.

I enjoyed MGS2 on the PS but never got into MGS3, I thought about getting 4 but I really can't be bothered with 45 min cut scenes

that might be so but I don't have a ps3 or x-box 360 I am into my FPS and strat games mostly so they best on PC I just got fifa just to pass the time.

But your right it is better on console no 10v10 on PC kind sucks but o well I enjoy just a kick about now and agian any ways.

I've three Xbox 360's sitting here. All completely fucked. Well, maybe not, but they certainly need a reflow to get them working again. I've identified the core problem of all Xbox 360 RROD failures, and it's down to two major things: the inadequate passive cooling heatsinks (including the design of the air vent) and the BGA card that houses the GPU. These were not soldered properly to the motherboard and as such, the heating/cooling process causes the solder underneath to gradually crack so the bed lifts off the main board, hence the X-clamp solution, which oddly enough makes the problem even worse due to the stress that the solder is put under. The true fix is to heat the solder allowing it to flow so that you can either lift the BGA clean off the board and re-solder the ball joints, then stick it back down and reheat until it reflows the connections. Now, if I can do some research and figure this sh*t out all by myself, then those :censored:

retards at MS need to make a few people redundant for not being able to figure that out. If I can, surely they should have by now.

As an aside, the new Batman game (no not the sh*tty film to game one) looks really fantastic and I'm surprised at how well it's starting to look. Looks very polished indeed. Could this gen's sleeper hit for both consoles.

Company of Heroes is awesome. But, simply for the simplicity and the nostalgia value, Age of Conquerors is still an ageless classic. Even now, for multiplayer value, its faultless.

I got empire total war on steam thinking it was gonna be the nuts but about 50% of people still can't play it.

You couldn't even call it a beta it so unfinished warning to any one thinking of getting it wait a few months till they get the kinks out of it.

Age of Conquerers or Age of Empires Kharahaz? I remember playing the first Age of Empires for 5 or 6 years, it was my favorite one, never fancied number 2 and 3, moved a bit into Empire Earth.

As for Total War, never liked it to be honest with you leg, I dont know why, it just didn't click.

I would say my top 5 all time favorites are:
Red Alert Series (except for 3, which was total bollox)
Company of Heroes (I just love the realism of this game)
Command and Conquer Generals
Civilization series
Age of Empires 1 (although I haven't played since ages because of the PC development).
