Its a thankless task so an opportunity to say thanks to Leon and ongoing appreciation who remain Mods.

I don't think he suffered from restraint as a mod.

Thanks Leon, don't know why you resigned, but I thought you did a good job.

I think Leon did a very difficult job well. It's all the more difficult I think if you're not naturally disposed towards a diplomatic slant, which as I think myself and one or two others will discover over the coming weeks, Leon isn't. I've done the job myself though and know the difficulties, and I also know that once back on the back benches Leon will enjoy being able to let rip like in days gone by.

I think though the forum owes a debt of thanks to anyone who does the mods job for a while, particularly if they make a decent fist of it as Leon did. Welcome back, and I say despite being safe in the knowledge that things will no doubt get more "interesting" on the boards as a result of your decision     :) :p

Yes and a good mod too

Of course you had a spell as a moderator but you lasted as long as the England innings against the Windies on Saturday

Well then did he walk or was he pushed?

I like Leon you get what you see, and you see what you get with him, he just tells it as it is.

Ah I need to go and get my sides sewn back up. Leon was a poor moderator hence the number of complaints about him leading to him being removed. Deny this all you want but he was pushed and that why he has not been on the forum since, he will be missed as a poster but not as a mod

The only time a mod has been pushed  it was given an explanation -- it's a different matter that explanation was not enough for some members.

So Leon's case has to be that he has given up and he's humble enough to step down without making noise. Good mod, inventor of the "Calm Down locks", in the middle of a petty fight, locking the match thread asking to come back later after calming down.
