I tried it once, not on here. Problem is the person you block may have said something in a chain of quotes which give it context or an answer someone asked for.

I'd like to block the annoying people, but there are so many of them and threads would be reduced to me, S@int and a handful of others!

And of course, how can you block Petar when you don't know what his next alias will be...................
