i have one little boy and that's plenty for me - although i sometimes think it would be nice for him to have a sibling i really can't be ar'sed going through it all again. my girlfriend is one of 11

Rare these days, but common 50 years ago when Spain was less rich and more based in agriculture

Back then having a lot of children that did work as peasants was good for the family economy.

These days, there are the odd case of people wanting numerous families, and there are also the OPUS DEI ultra catholic ones for who it's a way of understanding the family and like numerous families.

I guess your girlfriend's case is the former, because I don't see a lefto-pinko with an OPUS DEI girl

scarily enough there have been a couple of leanings towards opu dei in older members of their family. but this lefto pinky do-gooder made sure his girl was clean. just to be fashionable, of course...
