Anybody still playing Fallout?

I'm up to 550 achievements but my game time is 70 hours!

Also, I'm playing it on windows as it was a lot cheaper than the 360 version and with Games for Windows Live you can still get the gamer points and add them to your 360 score.

GTAIV is coming out on Windows next week and it also has GP so I might pick that up if I can get it cheaply on eBay (even though I already have the 360 version I'm looking forward to playing it with better graphics and framerate).

Fall Out, Very good, but lacks depth. Even if we know expansions will come the release should have been deeper.

It's not normal that a lazy player with not much time for games have finnished all the quests. In other games I always had lots of quests uncompleted when I finished the game.

I liked the fact that in the early part of the game you have to scavenge ammo, that ammo is not cheap in the game. It helps to encourage the use of other weapons such as the melee.

It dissapoints me that a RPG has not better riddles. Come on, I only remember one, in that virtual town, in which to access the computer you have to remember a music sequence.

I'm not asking the tricky puzzles of old games like Wizardry or Might and Magic, I'm just asking a videogame not being for idiots. A bit more old fashioned really tricky puzzles.

About the atmosphere part of the game I loved the sound tracks, I loved the radio thingy, I loved the graphics, Rivet City, it's all nice. But I'd expect a trickier game, it seems as if PC games are forgetting about complexity and being more console games.

If the argument is that complexity is boring for some players then include optional quests.

Have you finished all the quests Sabre? How long did it take you?

I agree RPGs these days have been dumbed down a lot. Much of the puzzle elements from RPGS years ago had devious puzzles that required a bit of thinking but nowadays they are far more action based.

I didn't look the time of play, I never do, in fact, sometimes I wander in those games and never look at the time. I have unistalled the game. I have learned that people complete games in amazing times (not only RPGs but old games like Metroid), but I never paid any attention to the stats of time.

I think I finished all the quests but one related to the slavers. They asked me to enslave people because they wanted a better life, or I couldn't enter the town.

The Children wouldn't allow me to go to vault 87 if I didn't rescue their friends from the slaves, they called me mungo as if that should offend me.

So I had no option but to anhilate all the fúcking slavers town :D , I forgot the name of that town, sorry :D. When you follow the path of good Kharma a couple of companions join you, without them taking the slavers town would have been trickier.

The thing is that since I killed all the slavers, that quest of making slaves was cancelled, and I don't know if from that path there would be more quests

All in all, a good game. I would buy it if I didn't know it will be a gift to me soon enough :). I'll buy the expansions though despite the dissapointment of depth.

I've got Deep Space. I've not made my mind up on it yet. My mate recommended it, he raves about it. I can take it or leave it though. I'm about half way through, but it's not gripped me and sucked me in yet.

I'm on a losing streak if anyone wants to add to my tally.  Don't have a mic but from now until the game I have nothing to do.

After trading in the very dissapointing COD5 for Gears Of War2 and treating myself to a new 40" TV I have noticed that in certain parts of the game there is a green fuzz on the screen ( mainly in the bits when its dark and there are a lot of shadows ). I never had any problems on my old TV so I was thinking it might be a fault with the game itself, I then played COD4 on the same TV and the green fuzz was back but not as noticeable ?

I have tried my X-BOX in both AV Scart sockets and through the RCA Leads in the side of the TV ( with out the Scart attachment ) and I am still having the same problem, any ideas ?

Its not bad. Its very atmospheric, best played in a dark room with the sound turned up.

Some of the best use of sound in a game yet.

Try getting a HDMI cable (if your Xbox is a newer version and it has a HDMI connection) or failing that use a VGA cable.

It could be a "problem" with the TV, some of the cheaper 40"ers can have washed out colours.

Is it the new TV?  Odd feature for a game to have, sounds like it could be the new TV at fault for the fuzz.

I might try the HDMI route, cheers

Yeah its a new TV, watching programmes is fine its only when I play a game that it starts, its hardly noticeable on COD4 as there are very few dark areas in the game but Gears Of War has a lot of stages in caves and where the back of say a rock would be black this green fuzz is there instead ?
