No buy for me either. Tried it last week - same stuff, different wrapper. Besides, I'll wait for IW's next version.

Might get Left4Dead though next week  :eyebrow

Most people are skipping it, to be honest I really don't like WWll shooters, apart from COD2, COD4 was ace cos it was somethin different and set in modern day, fingers crossed Infinity Ward make another belter if they make a COD6 :(

What happened to the tidious and boring remarks about the game s@int? :D

maybe you should have read before that if you finish the main quest the game is over! :p  :D

Read what ? I haven't got a manual. I WILL be buying this game though.

It starts off slow and a bit confusing but soon picks up mate.

Same here - first few hours i was like..."why is this supposed to be one of the most anticipated games - its doing me head in" Now, im getting to the point where im enjoying it more and find myself wanting to play this over Gears/FC2 and the rest. Short bursts of a couple of hours at a time and its sweet.

Yeah, pretty much avoid as much of the main quest as feasibly possible until you wring every drop out the side missions first id say.

It was silly of them to go back to WW2 after COD4 Modern Warefare. No more UAV? lol

They should have maybe done Vietnam or Iraq or something like that.

Anyway FM09 comes out tomorrow and there is also a patch out to fix the injuries bug people. I need to find someone who can play a lone striker role. Someone other than Adebayor and Drogba. Someone world class. Any ideas?

er torres.. he is a great target man in FM.

However, Edison Cavani on FM 08 was world class for me when I managed inter, Zlatan was always injured, so I did use Cavani as a lone striker but tinkered a bit with the player instructions. He got me over 30 goals in his first season.

Got my COD5 yesterday already half way through it and to be honest 4 is miles better, the colours on COD5 are very dim and it is hard to tell who is American and who is Japanese or Russian and German depending on the level until the "friendly fire will not be tolerated message appears" some of the enemies are so far away that it is a struggle to pick them off without a sniper rifle which is not always available, I found myself breaking cover and just running past enemy soldiers just to be able to get a shot in at the more distant ones, the team work doesn't work as well either, you will pass enemy soldiers who are hidden only to be shot in the back because because your so called team are just stood watching them.

Like I said I am only roughly halfway through it but from what I have seen so far I would recommend people rent it before they buy it, it should have been an improvement on the amazing COD4 but IMO it falls well short.

The original or the new one? I sort of liked the demo, but for me it just doesn't have the same feel as the first one, which for me, is one of the best games ever made. Not that I ever take reviewers these days very seriously, because lets be honest, games journalism has gone down the f*cking tubes and you can never take what most reviewers say for granted like you could 10 years ago or more, but I've heard the game is getting pretty average scores. Regardless, this probably means the game is a cracking game. The demo certainly hinted that it was.
