Sounds like pretty much the ideal way to spend a day for me that mate. Eleven episodes of Lost...
I've been knocking round with this girl lately who just happens to be as big a fan of 24 as I am and she's up to season 3 and is booking a couple of days off work later this week to kill it (or 'polish it off' as she said... giggity) and start season 4.
After she's 'polished off' all six seasons, she's agreed to watch Lost from the start as I've kind of told her that it's as good as if not better than 24. So that's when I'll probably re-aquaint myself with the show. Season 5 isn't starting until January/February 2009 so I'm going to try and get that in before then.
I did catch the episode called 'Confidence Man' from season 1 on an old Sky One re-run the other week. I'm not being funny, but you only have to look at Sawyer in that suit and that Southern state grin he's got. You could not trust that man as far as you could throw him, you only have to look at him, it's like he's got con-man written all over him, yet these families were willing to thrown their life savings at him. Made me laugh actually.
To give you an idea about the point I'm making, see the character Pat Healey from There's Something About Mary. You just couldn't take the prick seriously. The stupid smile and the little pencil moustache, and also the scene in The Simpsons where Mr. Burns wants to buy all the baby puppies and Lisa says she doesn't trust his face. Cut to Mr. Burns laughing maniacally like an evil bastard. The Simpsons was in a class of its own once, can honestly say I've not watched an episode in full for years now, it's not the same anymore... but the scene I described above was priceless.
