Some time ago a friend of mine said "before you join sign up for face book check this out"

I did and won't be signing up for any facebook

No offence mate but that is a load of balls!
Its just like any other Website really,If you are stupid enough to post you address,phone number,bank details or basically give too much away about yourself then you are daft and at risk!
But if you are sensible and use it as wisely there is no problem!
People using ANY site are at risk if they dont have a firewall or are niave and too trusting of others and silly enough to fall for scams!
Facebook is no different!
