Today was a strange day. For the first time ever in 14 or so years, I bought a Fifa game. It felt weird, because it's usually PES. Well, having played a few practice games against the blue shyte and City, I can say it's easily the most realistic and best football sim I've played in my life. This is true current gen stuff, and the way it emulates the real game in terms of pattern of play is incredible. There's also a real sense of who you are actually controlling on the ball for the first time in a Fifa game. Gerrard has a cannon in his right foot as he does, and players like Babel and Torres are lightening. It's fun just trying to knock the ball past the defender and using the pace. Keane feels nippy with some nice close control, but here's the thing, Kuyt feels like...well...Kuyt. Nothing really special about him and I've found myself shouting at some loose passes he makes. He's never in the box either. What a surprise. See? Realistic.

Can't wait to play Fifa 09 i know my wife gonna be pissed but oh well she bought it for me

and it wont only last 4 mins , i'm gonna
make someone pay big time tonight the one thing MS should try and stop is people bieng able to quit games by switching of the console it should count as
a loss and those f@ckin laggers i hate them thieving Kunts.

Pes 2009

I'm a fan of pes and fifa , last year Fifa nicked it over pes but i like pes more because its more realistic , the first touch , the true ball . Fifa wins hands down in graphics . I can't wait to try fifa , i think i'll get both

Bit of advice: don't touch this years' PES. You'll only waste your money. This new Fifa is by far the best football game I've ever played, and I've never touched a Fifa game since the very first one on the Megadrive. They've always been shyte, but this one is so different. I was a hardcore PES fan from the begining, but Fifa 09 surpasses any of those games. Nothing is touching it. Give it time to grow on you, mind.

Early days yet but this years effort from EA gets a big thumbs up...aint perfect, but its getting close!

Just got megaman 9, tough game. Not impossibly tough, makes you want to keep playing. The water level is :censored:

I did warn you it's rock hard, makes you remember how hard old 8 bit games were compared to games these days :eyebrow

I've not had much of a go at FIFA yet. I was a good boy last night and took Mrs Nifty out for a meal :cool:

. I did have a go at the 10 v 10 though, Liverpool v Everton. You have to be quick to select your position though - I ended up as Arbeloa. I didn't see much of the ball as a result, until Carra got sent off and I moved to the centre. We won 4-2. I'm working 2-10 today, so that gives me the morning to hammer it.

I played 10 v 10 on 09 yesterday and it was absolute chaos

headless chickens all over the pitch :laugh:

The new Fifa is bloody brilliant the movment of the ball is superb and the through balls never stop amazing me, you can
control a player on a six pence.

I must admit though for somebody with a rating of 3771 or some shit like that i'm finding it quite hard to win matches,
i won 4 lost 3 i absolutely hammered a manc 5-0 with Juventus and he dis connected :angry:

idiots i hate that i was going for 9-0

And i give you a game Nifty don't finish work till 1 so ill add you and when you got time you'll hear my battle cry

Have to say FIFA 09 is the best football game i have ever played... However the big online games are a pain cos all the idiots chase the ball around, get offside the whole time and keeping getting sentr off. Brilliant game though.
