Well it was not me but those players you mentioned (and you can include Kewell) never were team players and did not put the team first. They received a fraction of the personal insults that Kuyt does especially from
idiots like you.
oh my dear Oscar, it seems the mods don't include this word as an insult as thats about the tenth time you have used it against me, as tedious and inaccurate as it it please feel free to keep using it in the hope a mod will awaken from their slumber and put a stop to your tedious campaign against me.
also i am sure you will notice that i never mention you in any of my posts, even the one you quote is not aimed at you, your fascination with me really is tiresome

As long as you put insults towards Liverpool players in your sig you are fair game. It insults me to see it everytime I see your name. Get with the program peewee and don't try to be such an @ss all the time. You do not like Kuyt fine, I will never lose sleep over it. Do not however continue to insult Liverpool players or I will continue to insult you.
and who made you the defender of all liverpool players?
i am sure they can defend themselves if needed, i will call kuyt as i see him, he is not fit to wear the red shirt, i will never change that opinion unless he suddenly turns into a footballer.
you disagree with that as is your right, however to constantly call me an idiot is tiresome, you call me an idiot because i have a different opinion to you whilst ignoring all the other posters who also believe the same as me. you have some sort of complex over me, i can understand that.
i could adopt your tactic and call you an idiot for disagreeing with me but i left school 25 years ago.
give it a rest with the personal insults, it makes you look petty and childish
I call you an idiot because you continue to insults Liverpool players in your sig. The fact that I have had to repeat this so many times and you still do not get it makes me feel that I may have overestimated you

The statistic was thrown in as something some people think is irrelevant, and some people use to argue in Kuyt's favour - you kind of endorsed it mate, suggesting that it was a relevant bit of info at least that's how it read to me and probably others I expect. Hence why the discussion continued down that track.
That's only how I interpreted it!

There then followed hours of pointless posturing where we skirted around the issue, rather than just accpeting the obvious fact that Berbatov is a better footballer. As you say Sabes, it doesn't really matter anyway but there is little wonder people get exasperated trying to discuss things sensibly with a faction which keep churning out utter nonsense.
We all know he works hard. We all know he puts in more effort than pretty much anybody else in the team. We all know that you don't necessarily need a World Class player in every position. Most of us accept that with the exception of Gerrard he's the best bet on the right in a 4-5-1. Most of us accept he's a nice bloke, and a hard worker.
Some of us though have grave reservations about Kuyt in a 4-4-2 on the right, and even more so up front but as you say Sabes, it isn't his fault he remains our best bet. During the last day or so though we've been comparing him first with Berbatov, and latterly with Wayne Rooney who is also "just a willing runner". I'm all for defending any player and any point of view, but it does get to the point where it's bordering on the ridiculous.

I am not going to get involved with you in a discussion over Kuyt GYBS. Your stance the other day under quite reasonable questioning was utterly ridiculous, veering from refusing to answer straight questions to putting up ultra lame arguments like the manager must know better than anybody on here.
You have made your position clear on Kuyt, and I for one have better things to do with my time than spend a couple of hours listening to you talk about where your from, how many times you go to the game, how loyal you are, how much anybody who criticises Kuyt at the game would get slapped down etc etc.
As you are unable and/or unwilling to engage in a sensible conversation on the subject of association football, I won't be wasting my time. You may have the last word, and I shall relegate you into my numpty bin for good.

is there some new law about that means liverpool players can not be insulted? i must have missed that.
wow we will have to delete that lucas thread also where lucas gets dogs abuse.
but hey, thats not important to you is it because its not me posting in there, you just have a problem with me, not with my sig, not with my opinion of kuyt, you simply have a problem with me and use this as an excuse to have petty little digs.
end of conversation, the sig is staying and if you continue with your abuse it will be reported as per the forum rules, plenty have had cards lately for similar, up to you

Maybe we could move on to a topic thats less controversial and that no one really cares that much about........ is Alonso a good enough creative player, or do we need someone who gets forward more and creates in the opponents half?

Utterly ridiculous becuase i back up a liverpool player and understand his worth to the club and team and can what he has brought to the club in the time he has been here, while also understanding he has limitations
that is ridiculous is it
well for me the ridiculous thing is people calling him
every single day of the week , week in week out no matter what he does the game before wether or not he has played well or played poor or had a normal game .
This season Kuyt so far has played his part both in good performances and bad performances just like every single other player - He has been no worse and no better than any other player so far this season.
it owuld make a change for one day one of these anti kuyt people to actually say - yeah he did well then and helped us win or he performed well in that game well done - as opposed to the oh ignore the goal or pass to set the goal lets concentrate on that poor first touch in the 65 min or when he passed it backwards etc etc blah blah . Ie concentrate on the good he did for the team as opposed to being constantly negative about a player.

Think with alonso it all depends on the formation and opposition. with masher next to him he seems to be able to find a bit more space and control the game pretty well , doing a sort of "quarterback role" for us , so doesnt push forward as much as he used to . i think he forte is keeping possesion and keeping things ticking over and spraying passes left and right , so in tight games he does well . in games when teams park the bus the attackers and midfielders struggle to find space so his passing becomes a bit more nullified as such and dont think he has it in his locker to play the little ball through for torres to run onto , masher seems to do it a little bit and gerrard certainly can do it . So far i think Xabi has had a good start to the season and is looking a better player than he did at times last yera .
