I played Fifa at lunch and i loved the fact that when i had the ball on the wings my team mates were making runs and calling for the ball with thier
arms, personally i thought that was class.

The game seems fresh and new i can't wait to have a go at the new team tactics that looks like a real good bonus.

I'm either getting extremely lucky or the free kicks are way too easy in this game.  Anyone sinking theirs in?  In Fifa 08 I'd score of like 1 out of every 20-30.  Right now I'm 2 out of 5..

Oh, and they seem more strict card wise, will be a nice change for online play.  People will think twice about throwing fouls around.

Where , how and what are you playing this on? Didn't think it was out until October?

It's only a demo.  Xbox live marketplace, free download.  Just go to new arrivals, FIFA 09, demo.

As an official partner Konami is able to use the LFC logos and marks in all its promotions.

Konami Digital Entertainment has announced an agreement to become an Official Partner of Liverpool FC, which will see PES 2009 and subsequent PES titles declared 'Official Football Video Game of Liverpool FC."

As an Official Partner of Liverpool FC, Konami has the right to use LFC logos and marks in all its internal and commercial promotions. The team, its kits, logos and players will also appear officially licensed in PES 2009.

Additionally Konami and Liverpool FC are committed to working closely together across a number of promotional mediums. PES 2009 will feature on prominent signage across Anfield's LED hoardings during all domestic league and cup matches, and the game will have a regular presence in the weekly LFC Magazine and This is Anfield matchday programme.

A bespoke, specially packed version of PES 2009 is also to be produced for exclusive use by the club.

"We are very pleased to become the 'Official Football Video Game' of such a respected and successful team as Liverpool FC," said Jon Murphy, PES Team Leader for Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH.

"We have worked hard to ensure that PES 2009 will benefit from a wealth of new additions, and working so closely with teams such as Liverpool FC can only enhance our efforts. Liverpool FC fans can look forward to the most realistic video game re-creation of their team, with the likes of Torres, Gerrard and Carragher recreated with an incredible level of detail."

PES 2009 is scheduled for release on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 17, followed by PS2 on October 30 and PSP on November 6. The Wii edition will launch in 2009.

They also have the official Man U strip as well :(

Konami secures exclusive four-year license with UEFA for the prestigious European tournament.

Konami has announced PES 2009 is to feature the UEFA Champions League, after the publisher concluded an exclusive four-year license with UEFA.

The deal will allow Konami to use all elements and attributes of the competition to create an exclusive UEFA Champions League mode within PES.

"This deal showcases our commitment to taking PES 2009 forward in terms of licences and realism," said Kunio Neo, president for Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH. "The UEFA Champions League is the jewel in the club competition crown, and is just one of many innovations we have lined up for the new game."

I am very surprised EA allowed the UEFA licence to slip away - they retained that one for years as well.

I'll just download both for my psp than :D

Fifa , amazing graphics but i seem to prefer PES AKA W11 , gameplay is more realistic , the first touch , passing , crossing , almost everything except the graphics and the tackling! , i'd make a perfect tackle and get booked for it

That Fifa demo is lacking certain elements to the gameplay that are evident in videos, which makes me think its a pre=GC build. Expect the final version to be even more refined than the demo. From what I've played, it's the most realistic football game I've seen to date. It's a very difficult game to learn. Certainly not pick and and play the way PES is these days. You'll really have to put the hours in the be great at this game, which is the thing why some moaners about the net don't understand. They can't get their way, so they spit the dummy and proclaim how either :censored: it is, or how disappointed they are. Like all games with depth, it takes some getting used to.
