For me, Fifa 09 is the game I'm waiting on. PES 09 will be alright, but just alright. It's old hat now. Fifa 09, however, looks like what a "this" gen football game is supposed to be like. Looks absolutely awesome.

I'd noticed you'd been playing those two. What are they all about?

BRAID is absolutely ingenious - its one of them puzzle/platformers (with a story) that really stretch your brain. I mean you have to figure out solutions to collect pieces of artwork which form paintings made into a jigsaw. Its presentation is really unique and the music is also sublime. Starts off pi55 easy and then you get sucked into it and it becomes very difficult later on. Be warned, its only a few hours long - but so well designed and polished.

Ticket to Ride is one of these Euro board game conversions - where you are given trains/destinations and you take turns to develop the longest routes across America (and Europe if you DLC) using coloured tickets to represent carriages/locos of a train. Its similar to Catan/Carcassonne/Lost cities in a way, but the strategy is quite addicting. I like it a lot.

Anyway to sum up....

BRAID 9/10

Ticket to Ride 8/10

:)

In anticipation of my 360 coming back in the next few days I ordered a few new games online.

I got Ninja Gaiden 2 and Conan dirt cheap on Play.com and Eternal Sonata for half nothing on blah.

I also plan on getting Braid when I get my 360 back.

I'll take a look at Braid. I've had 800XP points burning a hole in my pocket for a while now.
While on the subject of puzzle games, I've heard that there will be a sequel to Portal out soon on XBLA, called Portal - Still Alive. I can't wait for this one.

Better still...

Anyone with a mere 800 points to splurge on XBLA - do not hesitate to take a look at the Platform/shooter BIONIC COMMANDO:REARMED.

Gaming nirvana i tells yer! Absolute top-notch quality title. I'll go as far as to say, one of the top 3 Arcade releases - end of.
Extremely well done remake of an old NES classic - the production values are outstanding. The gameplay is spot on. And the whole game is value for money...it even has a Portal/MGS:VR missions type section where you are timed in over 56 challenge room simulators in order to plonk yourself upon the leaderboards. Co-op and multiplayer (offline only) a huge database to fill with entries/resources etc..Upgrades/secrets - the works!

Made up with this one.

Red says 9.5/10

This, BRAID, GW:2 and next weeks CASTLE CRASHERS goes to show that its been a fantastic (and expensive...) last few week on XBLA. Long may it continue, because many of these games pi55 all over the majority of the full £40 quid retail games atm for me.
