Solve this riddle - Any ideas

Heres one...
I fly in the air, But I am not always there. I cannot be touched, But I can be felt or held. Think very hard, But if you live near the equator, You may have a tough time seeing me. What am I?

Actually the answer is, there is no answer. It was written in Alice in Wonderland and said by the mad hatter at the tea party. However those who demanded an answer to the riddle couldnt understand that it was a "none" riddle by a madman in a novel. Lewis Carrol gave an answer to shut those who asked up but the fact is, there is no answer !
