ive said it a 1000 times, there should be some kind of IQ test before some of the halfwits alive are allowed to reproduce

When I was a child, if I had a fight, I had to make sure to win it comfortably because if I received a scratch or any other sign of fighting, when I arrived home the belt was waiting.

When my dad appeared at school it meant bad news, as that meant interview with the teacher. And if the teacher told something bad about me (which was quite usual because I was a good student but a lazy :censored:

and I did like to have laughs at class) I knew that more belt was waiting at home.

If the teacher slapped me, I'd better shut up, because if I complained at home about that, I'd receive two slaps.

Nowadays, it's just the opposite. My gf is teacher yanno, and even if she's shoved, she cannot slap, otherwise she's reported by the little :censored:

!!

I'm not a fan of very stricts educations, but this other side of the education view is even worse me thinks. Children need references and authority. If you don't give them those they'll become dictators. It's a natural thing, even your dog will occupy your sofa if the dog sees you don't have enough leadership.

Stu, once you stopped the car, you should have approached the parents.

Very true, shouting and screaming at the kids doesnt even work, need a good smack sometimes, the kids walk all over the teachers these days because they cant do anything about it and they know that

But agree: kids are mental generally because their ma's and da's are. Well, not all, but that's the general pattern.

Agree 100%. We're too soft on kids these days. That old maxim "spare the rod, spoil the child" is as apt as you can get. Unfortunately too many people associate good lod fashioned discipline with child abuse.

If it had been my kids they would have got a f'ckin assing no two way's about it, i would have got a slap and then some as a kid and what was good enough for me would be good enough for my three.

I love my kids but they learn to respect others, when i was a kid my parents always told me what i do and how i act represent's them as my parents, roughly translated ment "If you f'ck up you get the belt".

Kids nowadays are far to pampered just to shut them up, mine have alot but they earn it with good grades and manners, could you imagine some of these brats today in a restaurant full of people acting like little gob..shi.tes and everybody starring at you? just plain pathetic.

This is why i said about pouring the coke over them. You cant hit them, but you can still do stuff like that. It may not be as good, but at least you get some revenge

What I hate is some thick parents don't realise you've got to practise what you preach.

Nothing winds me up more than a parent who shouts at their kid "Stop fuckin swearing!"

How thick is that? I never swear in front of my daughter, and guess what? She never swears.
