* Why in a previous season the wrecked people were sent food from an airplane? The food had Dharma brand, why would they want to keep them alive with food? Especially considering that after that, they didn't seem to want to rescue anybody at all.

Was wondering that one myself as I was typing, mate. Maybe the plane was some sort of automated drone that was still operational, waiting for the signal to do the next air drop? Where it took off from etc. is still a mystery. I live in hope that all of these questions--big picture stuff and little details--will eventually be answered over the next two years.

What the hell has Jack and Claires dad got to do with island? we know Jack's dad from previous eps he was a drunk so how the hell did he become all important?

And what the hell happened with Claire? Was she abducted or did she go walkabout and decide to become some island mystic? Is she alive or is she dead? And, most importantly, will she ever stop being an annoying bint and let her undeniable beauty actually come to the fore?

AND, what and where the hell is that four-toed statue that they saw a couple of seasons ago? and i won't even start asking what the black smoke is all about....

But i think sabre, the island has unique properties, something to do with electro-magnetism and the Dharma project were the ones looking for answers on how to control the island or something along those lines, until Ben and his guys took over by killing them all. I think its just a fight for the island between Ben and whitmore......the oceanic flight passengers are not wanted there by either side.

The Claire thing had me confused aswell, maybe whatever happened to her is the same as the walt-saga, maybe ben's guys took her cos they knew she could give birth....i dunno.

But the big statue and the black smoke are the main questions i want answered.

I think Jacks dad plays a major part still because poor parenting, especially by fathers is a big theme in lost, and Jack is one of the biggest characters. Jack's dad is also even more relevant to the island in that he is also Claire's father, and was most likely and even worse father to her. Also, Christian Sheppard was brought to the island as an already dead person, as far as I know, he is the only one to be brought there already dead, maybe that is why his spirit is "enabled" by the island, much like Locke's legs were. Also, maybe that is why Ben wants Locke's body to go back to the island.

Season 4 was top notch, arguably the best yet.

Unfortunately we'll have to wait until February 2009 for season 5.

I've also heard a rumour that Claire will not feature much in season 5 as there is a rumour on the internet that the actress who plays Claire has been only been give a limited contract for season 5. This isn't confirmed, simply a rumour.

I don't think she will feature much either i think she might be preggers i have a very high sperm count :wwww

just finished watching the finale. can you believe how difficult it has been to get an evening with a couple of free hours over the last two weeks?? anyway, need some time to ponder - i'll be back with questions and comments in a few months.

No, mate. Sun's was a flash-forward and Jin's was a flash-back. It was a deliberate attempt to confuse timelines so as to make you think that both had made it off the island.

Absolute top class misdirection. Simply brilliant. I thought that Jin's was a flash forward and that he divorced Sun and faked his own death and got himself a new missus!!!!

This show is a masterpiece. When it's over I'm going to book a couple of weeks off work and just watch them all again back to back.

Sorry for this super late qoute on this , i wanted to watch lost when the whole season was over but just could not wait , I covered 11 episodes today and am planning to finish the rest tmr , cracking stuff so far and i have to agree with J mac i thought the same thing too .
