a butty is also the name of the engineless horse drawn boats used on the narrow canals of england around the early 20th century. FACT.

Did you know, that between 1955 and 1964  despite being glossy, the lingerie pages of the Littlewoods catalogues often became mysteriously stuck together ? .  :nod

half and half is great :D

Something that bugs me is the weird attitude to ice in pubs in Britain, they ration it like its a precious commodity.  Was in a northern soul night a few weeks ago and asked for ice in my drink to be told weve run out,  so I said put some more tap water in the freezer then,  the barman was upset with my attitude.

If you hold a night then surely they must have realised people would be there so put ice in the freezer :D

Also my local, if you ask for ice and a slice of lemon they ask you if your posh or from London :D
