Deffo the French in many parts of Canada: they left us the legacy of Quebec, after all--our own mini-France to deal with. Whereas the English at least gave us pubs!

BTW, a separate poll asking about English, Scots and Irish would reveal, I'm sure, that it was the English that are now universally reviled. It's all about who you're comparing them to!

Who hasnt got the balls to admit they voted for the English.

Is the poll "Who do you think is hated more?" or "Who do you hate more?" Because I believe the English ARE hated more but I really couln't give a rats a$$ if a person was French or English or from Lapland, as long as they don't mess with me or my interests

Every see the episode with Hank Scorpio in the Simpsons? (if anyone can get a link for this it would be swell)

Scorpio: "Home what's your least favourite country, Italy or France?

Scorpio: Nobody ever says Italy

This shows that the only 2 countries that think France is the Earth's least favourite nation are England and the United States

I'm not sure whatsoever that the English are more hated. Not at least from this part of the world.

For instance in Spain we had wars with both countries, but it was different. The wars with england used to be to control the seas, their pirates of the caribbean sank our vessels, but the French, after the "Egalite, Fraternite, liberte" thingy started an invasion in my country and a great repression, and for that they planted a great hatred in my country and provoked the creation of the first guerrilla tactics to spell them off. The English instead never hurted our national pride that way, although they were aswell a pain in the árse (and did burn my town once).

I don't think then the english are more hated, not at least here. I guess it depends on where you ask

Kin ell if some Kunt burnt my town I wouldnt be to happy with them either.

Well, it was burnt 3 times. 2 by the French, once by the english who did so to "liberate" the town from the french, in an alliance with the Spanish king.

So it's a France 2 - 1 England in burnings, hence the vote

On who I think is hated more, I went with England. But would you look at that, it was a tough question but it's split right down the middle of 12 votes.

I think in today's modern world, with all that's going on, I think England would be because it's taking a more active part in the war in Iraq. But then again, ask any American who they think is hated more, and they'd invariably say France.
