This place hasn't been the same in months. But we seem to say the same thing every year. A lot of the old guard who used to post here all the time are gone now, or they hover about and say nothing. This international break has just highlighted the issue that a lot of quality has disappeared from around here. The majority of my posts are in general chat now (well, the majority go into song association alone but that's just a bit of fun) because the liverpool page is just clogged up with irrelevent gibberish, stuff we've heard a hundred times already or pointless arguments that go nowhere.
Newkit is still a great place, but the magic is fading a bit. But come christmas, I think this place will pick up again. Stupid internationals will be out of the way, the Champions's league will be in the end of the groupstages (i think) and there'll be a lot more going on in the premiership.
Perhaps we're also guilty of not using the advanced forum enough. Those of us who seek quality discussions might try to make more use of a space where bandwagoning newbies and idiots can't post until they've earned their stripes as it were. But right now the problem is the stagnation. We've had our group stage draw, we're in a break and the next match seems moons away, and we're still only a handful of games in. We're doing well and everyone loves to have a moan which they can't really do at the moment so people get bored.

The Advanced forum was a wasted opportunity any spammer could and often has quickly racked up 100 posts thus gaining entry. Time served and quality of posts would have been a better measure of when someone was granted the ability to post in the advanced section .
