Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

It appears that most people on the forum seem fairly excited/confident about Cisse.  Has anyone actually seen him play (apart from against Wrexham)?  I read today that Benitez says he struggled last night with too many short balls into him - apparently he plays better chasing longer passes - haven't we already got three strikers in that mould?

I bet he turns out to be awful.  The old saying is true - black men with blond hair are never any good at football.

What can you say to that really. Well I suppose the 3 you are going on about are Owen (Have you seen his goalscoring record??) Baros, top scorer at Euros and about to overtake Czech goalscoring record that has stood since 1930's and Pongolle who if we remember caused one of wengers only publicised outbursts when we took him from under thier noses (although Im sure this was just in jest with his ol pal Houllier). Not a bad three and even if you think the role of cisse is as simplistic as you have written or his talents that narrow then he is still gonna be great.
From what I have seen, and you can talk all you want about Frances dire league (which I dont believe), he looks to have the potential to be Heskey (on his day) and Henry rolled into one. Im not saying he is now or ever will be at that level but the guy has that possibility. We should thank Houllier for this one as it was probably him having a word in Roux's ear about developing him etc that got him in the first place.
Im not going to overeact to that first post coz I feel 100% confodent that the lad is going to be pure class
Peace

Our old friend Hustler is now an "unregistered guess". Seems he's back sooner than expected, huh ??

Yes, I have seen him played in a dozen of games...and no he is not awful at all. You on the other hand have just read a piece of news on some tabloids and came to this conclusion. Your stupidity really shines through.

Guessed the old saying is true then - you really lived up to your name.

it's true that your team has three srikers with similar skills but i can tell you that djib' is an exellent singing.  last three years he played 100 french championship games, he scored 65 times and he's only 22, it will be more easy for him to score in P.L. because there is more "space"
i've posted few videos on another topik, if you think anelka is a good player, cissé is largely better

I will hazard a guess that the topic starter is an evertonian.

Whose sad club is in turmoil.
Smith to Shankly:My thigh is a bit sore, but I think I could play.
Shankly to Fagan:Tell him,Joe.He has got no chance of playing.
Smith to Fagan:Tell him to sod off.It is not his leg,it's mine.
Shankly to Smith:Oh no son.You are wrong, son. It is not your leg.
It is Liverpool Football Club's leg.

Iolsi. You think Cisse will score more goals in the premiership but you forget that he will now be testing himself against some of the best defenders in the world. Im convinced this is a test he will pass but to expect him to get more in his first season in England is a lot of pressure to put on the lad. Although i hope you do prove me wrong.

anelka scored only 5-6 goals when he return to PSG, when he was loaned to liverpool he didn'' played very well but now he's a good stiker, cissé is made for P.L. , every week end i see henry goals, always the same, cissé is faster and has much potential, your team is very young (kirkland-carragher-gerrard-welsh-riise-kewell-owen-baros-cissé....) cissé was a very good choice
