It's an interesting one, I think of his club record, then I think of his time at the FA and I wonder, HOW this guy ever reached this level.
Personally I reckon it could go t!ts up for City next season, despite the transfer funds available from Sinatra - you just have to look at all the other clubs and it's hard to see where they will finish. Bar Fulham, Wigan, Reading, Derby and Birmingham I can't see Man city finishing above the rest. I don't see Sunderland going down, Keane will have them up for it, they will spend a bit and the Stadium of light will be full. Blueshite will probably be top ten, Bolton will probably be top ten - perhaps they could go t!ts up though?. Pompey spend big and have a very astute manager. Villa will spend and have a very good manager. Blackburn have a very good manager and some quality players. Spurs will always be pushing for Europe.
West Ham will be a different kettle of fish, Newcastle will be a lot stronger defensively and if they keep the current strikeforce could push for Europe. The top four is virtually a given, perhaps Arsenal may be dislodged but I reckon Wenger will do the business.
Overall I see Man city coming in around 12th/13th place.
If I had to speculate like some of the nutcases on this forum and guess the final standings I'd optimistically go for:
1)Liverpool
2)Manure
3)Arsenal
4)Chelsea
5)Bluesh!te
6)Newcastle
7)Portsmouth
8)Spurs
9)Villa
10)Blackburn
11)West Ham
12)Sunderland
13)Man City
14)Birmingham
15)Boro
16)Reading
17)Bolton
18)Fulham
19)Derby
20)Wigan
That's my very random guess at next year, there are always a few surprises - it never ends in the conventional way!
