Hi all.

My name is Matthew. I'm 23 years old and I'm a die hard Liverpool fan most to the annoyance of my girlfriend who hates football and sport in general.

What I would really like to know is how to get tickets for the Liverpool vs man you game this December.

Living in the highlands of Scotland means it's hard and expensive to travel down to watch the mighty pool!

Do I need to hold a fan card to get tickets or is there other ways around it?

Alright mate, welcome.

To put it bluntly, you've not got a cat in hell's chance of getting a ticket for that game at face value unless you know a season ticket holder or someone with a spare.

Having a fan card means nothing unless you attend games continuously so you build up a pre-requisite required for future games, you may be able to see some cup games and UCL games but you'd need to attend quite a few in order to see games in the latter stages.

Thanks for dissapointing me :(  lol

Can I get tickets for less important league games like chelsea? lol

On a serious note could I get tickets to go and see a league game against the likes of derby, boro, newcastle, blackburn etc?

It's definitely possible that you could get to see some of the small teams like Chelsea and Everton  :D .

Really, you could probably get to see games at Home versus Fulham, Portsmouth, Wigan, Birmingham - teams like that. You'd have to be quick in calling the ticket office though as they sell out pretty quickly. You'll need a fancard aswell.

To see us play the mancs at Anfield you need a pre-requisite of something like 10+ games usually, so in short no, it is highly unlikely you'd be able to get a ticket for that game.

You say in short, no, but my idea of building up 3 games a season for 4 years would that stand me in good stead?

Do you go to any liverpool games?

If so what was the best one and why?

Unfortunately you'd need to attend roughly 10 games a season to go to future games for the following season's big games vs. the like of the mancs, chelski and everton.

I go up quite a lot and get to some away games now and then, if you want a proper experience you can't really beat a european night, having said that a derby game can be just as good if not better especially if it counts for something in the league.

Hi mate,

Thanks,

Im here to stay. Unlike some that just join up and ask one question and there off.

I'm a member of a window cleaning forum and have notched up nearly 2000 posts. So you can expect to see a lot of me around here. lol

Would you guys know what the cheapest way to travel down from the north of scotland to see liverpool? Would it be possible to do it all in a weekend?

Your best bet may be the train, but I don't know what the service is like up there, otherwise by coach or by car.

I've driven up to scotland a few times and it's not so bad, you just need to time it right so you avoid the traffic.

My mate just phoned me up and said that owen is set to sign for us within the next week!

Is there any truth in that?

I would personally think that would be a bad move. He is clearly not as sharp and as good as he once was and is injury prone.

You lot may diss agree?
