Here is a list of things that i would rather do, than watch Big Brother:

2. Get a drunk ex-girlfriend who's holding a vendetta to give me a prince albert with a rusty fish hook
3. Hire Nick Leason as an accountant
4. Hire Harold Shipman as my GP
5. Go swimming in a lake of dog cr@p, cat p1ss and dirty needles
6. Wear an Everton shirt
7. Chew a tramp's toe nails
8. Become a scientologist
9. Have a meal with Tracy Emin, Carrot Top, Jeffrey Archer, Janet Street Porter and Adolf Hitler.
10. Wear a Man Utd shirt
11. Eat a family pet
12. Let a group of skag'eads give me accupuncture
13. Drive a nail through my left testicle
14. Shoot myself in the hand
15. Wake up in a Hong Kong alleyway, covered in fresh scars and feeling considerably lighter and wrong
16. Lick some chewing gum off of the pavement
17. Vanessa Feltz
18. Chew a handful of rusty razor blades
19. Read any novel my Barbra Cartland
20. Tell Victoria Beckham that she deserves a grammy for her astounding contribution to music
21. Saw off my arm with a rusty, bloodstained hacksaw found in a puddle of vomit
22. Watch a movie marathon which includes Gigli, and anything else that that awful woman has been in
23. Get kneecapped
24. Get in a rowing boat and play chicken with a supertanker
25. Play football with a porcupine (as the ball, not an opponent)
26. Eat two year old ham
27. Staple my eye to my eyelid
28. Drink English "champagne" from Bill Oddie's old boot
29. Cut off one of my legs, stick it on a skewer and carve it up like kebab meat, while selling it to my enemies
30. Push a slow, blunt drill into my skull and listen to my brain slurp and splatter

Don't watch it, haven't done so since the 2nd series.

Personally I think it's b0llocks how every channel is just rammed with reality TV shows these days, and some of the ideas they come out with are pathetic, I.e Dancing on Ice or Only Fools on Horses. I'm completely sick & tired of Big Brother, for ten weeks a year the whole country goes mad over it. As I said I haven't watched it in years, but I still know pretty much every detail of what happens as it's splashed all across the newspapers when I'm trying to find out what's happened in the world. I remember during last year's Celebrity BB a story about a young mother getting shot in front of her child being demoted to page 7 or something because of the Jade-Shilpa situation. It's f***ing pathetic, and sums up what's wrong with this country.

I remember a day, pre-reality TV, where you actually had to be good at something to be famous, whether that be sport, singing, making people laugh, or any other of a number of talents. Nowadays all you need is to be crude or outragous enough to convince BB producers you will stir up trouble, and hey presto, you're a celebrity! A willingness to have sex in front of the nation is a plus, but not essential as long as you're willing to either be racist, bully someone or even just be boring. Yes that's right people, in todays world you can be famous for being boring. Worked for Jon Tickle didn't it?

It might sound like I'm having a mindless rant, but if you listen to the youth of today (listen to me, I sound well old now, I'm only 24 myself, but believe me things have changed a lot in these last few years) a large majority of them have no further ambition than to be famous, at whatever cost. Alarmingly a survey showed recently that 40% of girls aged 12-15 would rather become a glamour model than have a career. We're living in a society obssessed with fame, and it's programmes like Big Brother that are at fault. I for one will not be adding to their ratings & making them think it's a good idea to run another series.

so she used a racist word... didnt the bird she used it at not mind? was it said in a certain context? i duno to be honest but i dont care either. pc madness i reckon.

u know they will make some special needs minority win as it is best for the country/viewing figures/makes everyone know that bb is not racist/sexist/any ist!!!.

how something so fixed can get so much publicity is beyond me. people actualyl ring or text in thinking that the show isnt fixed from day dot with editing etc

Taken from Sky news:

A Big Brother housemate has been booted out by Channel 4 after using a racially offensive word.
Contestant Emily Parr was removed from the house in the early hours of this morning after using the word "nigger".
Emily has been booted out

Emily was dancing with Charley and Nicky in the living room of the Big Brother house at approximately 8.30pm last night.

She was heard to say "Are you pushing it out you nigger?" to Charley.

Emily made clear that she had not intended to offend and that the comment had been meant as a joke.

In discussing what she had said, Charley and Nicky agreed that they were not personally offended, although both did express shock at the language she had used.

Angela Jain, who heads the Big Brother commissioning team at Channel 4, said: "I think people watching the show tonight will agree that Emily spoke carelessly rather than maliciously.
Housemate Charley

"She understands why her involvement in Big Brother has had to come an end and she very much regrets what she said.

"The word nigger is clearly racially offensive and there was no justification for its use.

"We have removed Emily from the house to once again make it clear to all housemates and the viewers at home that such behaviour won't be tolerated."

In a statement the Commission for Racial Equality said: "We're relieved that Channel 4 has acted quickly.

"This incident will show everyone that racism must never be tolerated in any way, shape or form."

It's a shame she's been kicked out, she's got a cracking arse. :D

Speaking as a black man myself:

Pot meet kettle, Big Brother let those cretins play around with offensive terms as much as they wanted last year (jade and that lot) and now they kick out this posh bint for not being streetwise enough. Did she say 'nigger' instead of 'niggah' ? Well that opens a whole can of worms anyway.
Reading from that transcript it doesn't come across as being said in a malicious way.
I wonder what George Galloway makes of it tonight in Big Brothers Big Mouth.

Anyone ever seen/heard Chris Rock's take on black people vs 'niggers'
Funny how this Charley says she's a nigger as she's the type that makes black people look bad.

Shame they got rid anyway, niiiiiice ar$e on that Emily but too moody and stuck up for my liking.

I've got a feeling this Paul Weller/Robert De Niro in a pink wig tranny will win it  :D

According to the latest news and from people who have read the conversation, BOTH Charly and Nicky used the same word during the conversation, they didnt get kicked out ?

Channel 4 have been waiting for someone to slip up so they could pounce and say 'Ooh look at us acting straight away ,We have learnt our lesson and we wont tolerate racism' after all the trouble last time with GOB S.*i*e Jade, it just happened to be the dizzy blonde bird.

Saying that i have no sympathy for her, they would all of been warned before entering the house that they are strictly forbidden from using racist words so she got what she deserved, but the other two should of gone aswell
